Depends - when you say ‘non-maths’ background, do you mean to say you didn’t take math as a subject in college or in high school?

Because GRE Math largely tests concepts we learn in high school, NOT college.

The concepts as such (Algebra, geometry, percentages etc) aren’t hard to understand.

But what makes GRE Math a little difficult is

the questions are framed in a tricky manner i.e. they are not ‘direct’ questions and
you have limited time to answer questions.
So even if you do know the concept, if you can’t answer it within a certain time limit, you will lose points.

So don’t worry, GRE Math is not difficult per se. With the right amount of high-quality practice, you should be able to do really well on the test.
