Yes! You have a good point that the seized hotel should have been converted to isolation centre instead of demolishing the building.

But a much better option would have been seize the hotel and seal up the building for between 3 to 6 months with an option of fine.

The owner gets his or her premises after the conditions or rules stipulated in the period of sealing and or fines is met.

Wike has bitten more than he can chew. It could have better if he turned those hotels to isolation centre.

Removing head from the body can never be antidote for headache.

He should remember that power is transient.

WIKE'S ACTION, HAND OF GOD.

1. Note that the said hotel belongs to Princewill Osaronwa OSAROEJIJI of Alode in Eleme LGA of Rivers State.

2. The demolished hotel has been a hideout for criminal gangs and venue of cult meetings from where they take off for operations.

3. The hotel houses prostitutes ( Asawo)

4. The hotel was operating with the prostitutes hosting customers even during the lockdown despite State orders.

5. The hotel was not only open to customers both full and short time but was hosting parties amidst this covid-19 pandemic, the owner feeling he is above the law and indeed the Youth Leader of PDP.

6. That words was sent across to the hotel owner to close down or face demolition and he sent words back that he dares the State to try it and see if he will not bring down the State.

7. That Members of covid-19 committee monitoring hotels went to enlighten the owner and his guest that what they were doing was against the executive order of the state government and acceptable practices.

8. That he and his boys not only assaulted the Committee Members but pointed guns at them and shot and injured one of the members of the team.

9. That Eleme people who are his people are weighing a little sigh of relief concerning the pulling down of the hotel.

10. That the hotel is not money made from genuine seat as alleged but crime and human blood.

9. Do u know how many lives the boy has wasted in that hotel?

10. That Princewill was the Cause of the crisis in his community Alode in 2017/2018 that led to over 10 deaths including that of Late Isaac obe (Former Eleme Youth President and APC Zonal youth leader) as well as his sister Barrister Mary Obe.

11. That the owner Princewwill is a suspected Gun runner as he has not been convicted.

12. That he was shot on the leg during one of his escapades in the community and thus limps.

13. That he is suspected to be the Blackaxe leader in Alode and that enboldens home to live above the law.

14. That he is an alleged oil thief.

15. God just used Wike to bring some respite to Eleme Community.

16. Ask Eleme people how they feel before you make further comments or condemn the ousting of a criminal.

17. How many hotels are in Rivers State. Several have been sealed and their management arrested and charged to Court for several violations, none was demolished.

18) That the State was not just dealing with a regular hotel but a criminal den. He cup was just full.

19). That Princewill should be arrested to face the music and let Eleme have some respite.

20). We thank God for this intervention through Rivers State cos nobody dare touch Princewill in Eleme.

21). Any doubt as to any issue raised here. Please cross check with the security agencies in Eleme who Princewill Osaronwa OSAROEJIJI is and what he stands for.

People prefer to learn the hard way, that's why you see him act that way to send deterrent to others.
If you have the intention of driving your car through his border and you have read and hard of the demolition, will you still try your faith believing nothing will happen?

Am not totally in support of the demolition but u need to know more about what really happened. 1. The owner of one of the hotels is a PDP youth leader 2. He is supposed to be a promoter of what they preach(lockdown) not otherwise 3. In Nigeria such actions speak louder and command obedience 4. Wait and hear the full gist

Bitten more than he can chew In Nigeria everything is politics, no sane person in Nigeria will want to stand his feet and do the right thing. For me Wike needs to be commended for standing on his ground to execute the law as it was passed! No wander we are where we are.I repeat no sane man will do the right thing in this country because people will go to any lent to demoralised and tag you with imprinted names. This man started with his PDP party to sound the clear warnings yet politicians turned it the other way not because they care but rather because they waiting to portray him in bad light. Among other things it's in the Nigeria man blood, They rather see you dead than you outshine them. Go the every sector, Police, sports, PHCN, Civil service, private sectors these traits are there. Nigeria I greet you! When PMB was prosecuting perceived political opponents we cried, but the question is were they corrupt or not Now Wike started with his member yet we're crying!

The Governor I consider him to be rather proactive. He acted without sentiment or fear of what people will say. The truth is you can't please everyone. I think Nigeria will be a better place if our leaders can face the reality squarely.

Enforcement of law is really our problem.
If laws are enforced our people will behave well.

They said where there is no law there is no offence. But here there is law with consequences.

TOTAL E &P TO NIGERIANS : WE WOULD HAVE HAD REDUCED CASES IF OTHER STATES WERE AS PROACTIVE AS GOVERNOR WIKE

Total Exploration and Production Limited (Total E & P) has commended Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his proactive approach towards tackling the coronavirus pandemic, saying that the nation would have had reduced cases if everyone acted like Governor Wike.

Executive General Manager of Total E & P, Port Harcourt Administration, Godwin Barika made the declaration at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Monday when the company made further presentation to support the State Government's fight against the spread of coronavirus.

He said: "We want to thank the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. He has been very exemplary.

"We have joined forces with him because he is wonderful and proactive.

"He saw ahead. If every other state did what he has done, we would have had reduced number of cases."

Barika said that Total E & P will continue to support the Rivers State Government to defeat COVID-19.

He said: "We thank you. We support you. We have also given what we think can support the State because we believe in the state.

"This is where we work. This is where our facilities are and we will continue to be here to join forces in ensuring that the economy of this state grows.

"We came to show that support. We also came to make requests for what we will require to ensure that our operations continue."

The company solicited the support of the Rivers State Government as they work to address challenges offshore.

"We also to be very sure that if we have challenges offshore, we are able to take care of such challenges. He has signed several approvals for us and we are very grateful.

"Even after COVID-19, we will continue to relate with the Rivers State Government to ensuring that the economy of this state grows," he said.

Responding, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike commended Total E and P for their support in the fight against coronavirus.

He said: "On behalf of the Government and People of Rivers State, commend Total and E and P for supporting the state Government as regards the fight against coronavirus.

"You have shown that you care for the lives of those who work with you and Rivers people."

Governor Wike said that the Rivers State Government will publicly appreciate all donors in Newspaper Publications.

He said: "At the appropriate time, Rivers State Government will publish donations made by individuals and corporate bodies. Those who are friends of Rivers State, who supported the State."

Governor Wike said that this is the period the State Government requires the support of organisations and people.

He said that the great relationship should continue well after the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This is the period you require the support of people . We believe that this relationship will continue. Not after COVID-19, nobody will see you.

"Try as much as you can to carry out your corporate social responsibility in the communities where you operate. That gives you peace and good relationship with the communities, " he said.

As much as I don't support the demolition of the hotel, I do not support the conversion of the hotel to an isolation. The hotel appears to be in a residential area and having an isolation centre there might put people at greater risk of contracting the virus especially now that we have funny stories such as ' 2 patients abscond isolation centre

Wike did the right thing. Many of you condemning his demolition action are typical Nigerians who flout orders and make nonesense of rules of law.
A law simply exist. Somebody was culpable and the stipulated measures were taken yet, you all are condemning Wike for letting the law to reign supreme?

That is why Nigeria is still where it is today. We attach too much emotions to things in this part of the world. Hence, many people live above the law and when the hammer of the law is wielded, you ignoramus and corrupted entities will bring your usual useless emotions into play.

This dude is a PDP member, and regardless, Wike took the stipulated measures the offense deserves. Nigeria needs leaders like Wike that will do the right thing at any point in time, regardless of whose ooze is goad.

I will advise you people to dig deep into the story before you condemn Mr. Governor!

Indeed my heart goes out to the poor in PH city and those who have to work each day to survive....

Wetin u wan do ?...Na u get the hotel ??...hotel that u don't know , all of u are just shouting make isolation centre ,as if if that ashawo lodge is made an isolation centre u will agree to isolate there , Rivers has alot of isolation centres , they gat many oil companies and private individuals who render their facilities for isolation and the numbers of cases in rivers is not up to 20... everything has become politics to most of u, and that will not help in the fight against corona virus . Wike is not doing anything different from what El-rufai, Delta Gov Okowa, Gov Ben ....are doing but some of u have chosen to take panadol for the owner of hotel issue , u pple should tread carefully so it doesn't develop to covid-19...learn more , that allow it mouth know more than u have in ur brain
