The purpose of procreation and the effects it is expected to bring is gradually winding away, because boys are doing what was set aside for men, and believe me when I say boys, I am not only referring to a teenager in his teen.

There are many men/women in their thirties (30) who are still boys and girls. Maturity is not by age but by function of mental development and capacity development being formal or informal, child bearing is not supposed to be a function of age but a function of responsibility that is if you are ready for the assignment /the task awaiting you.

In Africa, using Nigeria as a case study, have bastardize the whole idea of child bearing. It is very common now for you to see a boy who still leaves under the roof of his parents without any source of income, having two or more children from two different ladies and how the children survives his not his concern. This is not to say it is not happening in other Geo political zone such as the west, north and east but am only using here as a case study. A man/woman decide to have sex and sometimes the end result is pregnancy which results in the birth of a child, and you find many instances even before the birth of the child, the father already reject the child by failing to accept responsibility of the child. It makes you wonder if anyone forces the both of them?

In our society we have people who claim they have children but they refuse to accept full responsibility of that child, so we have many hooligans in the street /society who are trying to survive, not because they brought themselves to the world, but because they were given birth to by irresponsible parents, many drop out from school because of parents who claim to be men.

It is advisable not to use because of your gratification to spoil the great future of an unborn child. If you have a child out of wedlock, do the needful and accept responsibility for it because that is what makes you a man.

For young folks who have parents like this, it’s not an excuse to leave a wayward lifestyle; you have a great future ahead of you. Accept responsibility by living a good life that will portray a good example. Remember that every boy is a potential father and every girl is a potential mother. Corruption is not the only thieve of Africa economy , having a child and acting as if you don’t have a child is also a big thieve of the Africa economy because it results in 85% of criminal /social evil.

Ask yourself why the Western world like the USA, Britain gives more attention to the upbringing of a child? Because they are the future of tomorrow, and for Africa to be great we need to act right……every father/mother should start acting like one. If you have a child that you don’t know where they are, how they survive , it’s time to locate where they are, ask for forgiveness, take responsibility and show loves. Every child needs Love, and Love is a very strong weapon to archive greatness.
