Snakes are very dangerous animals that have done more harm than good that can mostly be found in bushes and sometimes snakes in the house or compound are not harmful to them.

All snakes lack external limbs, but not all legless reptiles are snakes. Certain burrowing lizards may have only front or hind limbs or be completely legless. Unlike lizards, snakes lack movable eyelids, which results in a continuous and often disconcerting stare. Snakes also lack external ear openings. Internally, they have lost the urinary bladder.

In case you found a snake anywhere, you should simply take the following steps.

Note: What to do depends on the location of the snake.

1: The first thing you should do when you've found a snake in the bush or around the side of the road is to adjust back and observe the snake's movement carefully for a few minutes, but if you decide to take the snake to your heels (run) you don't have to run Zig-Zagly, if you don't want to run just keep a safe distance, don't do anything to disturb the snake and watch the snak.

2: Now if you found the snake outside in your building, it's unlikely the snake will stay there, it will certainly leave because the snake belongs to the bush. Then, keeping a safe distance is the only remedy.

3: Located inside or within your compound. Building the snake will probably leave because the snakes will definitely be looking for an escape route that will simply open every exit in the house so that the snake can go out.

Most of the snakes encountered by campers and hikers are not poisonous and they play a vital role in the ecosystem. If you are in a nature reserve you should never kill a snake. It is important to know that they are more scared of you than you are of them. Most snakes will get out of your way and will only strike when they have no escape and are threatened.

What to do when you encounter a snake
When hiking in the bush it is important that you do not pick up, poke or provoke any snake that you come across, even if it appears to be dead- some snakes such as the Rinkhals play dead, and can strike if disturbed. If you discover a snake, do not approach it closely. If you step on a snake or are very close to a Puff adder then move away quickly.

Thanks for the helpful and good advice. Since childhood, I am afraid of snakes because when I was little my father was bitten by a snake and we did not know what to do. It was lucky that the snake was not very poisonous and my father felt healthy the next day. Although there are people who have snakes as pets. It sounds incredible, but there are species of snakes that look very cute and yet the snakes are not at all venomous and even friendly. In my opinion it's really incredible. I just decided to search and even found https://reptilepetsrock.com/snakes/ball-python-care-guide a guide on how to care for a domestic snake. Maybe I should change my mind about snakes and get myself a snake? Do you think this is a good idea?
