Why a lot of Nigerian Pastors are not happy with the Covid lockdown.

A lot of Nigerian Pastors are not happy with the Covid lockdown that forbids any religious gatherings simply because :-
1. Their vice like manipulative stranglehold on the minds and the finances of their members is loosening by the day.
2. Their members are beginning to regaining their ability to think and reason for themselves.
3. Their members are now forced to easily search the bible online for themselves and the pastors don't like the fact that their eyes are being opened.
4. Some of their members could have stumbled across a passage in the bible - Jeremiah 6:13 (NIV) that says :- From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.
5. Now these self appointed General Overseers will not want their members to have the peace of mind and freedom from their clutches to be able to discover in Jeremiah 6:13 that the same Bible our Pastors "claim" to preach from calls ALL prophets and priests deceitful and greedy for gain - from the lowliest to the greatest of them.
6. The pastors are scared stiff that the chains of mental, spiritual and financial bondage and servitude that they have used to hold their church members spell bound and CAPTIVE are dropping off each passing day the lock down lasts.
7. They are realizing that the more of their members that decodes that they don't really need to go to church every Sunday, the less their business empire will rake in every Sunday from the poor masses and so the billions kept in these pastors bank accounts will not grow at the rate they once extrapolated.

Hence these pastors are foaming at the mouth and throwing their toys out of their prams because their easy business is being threatened and their church members are becoming freer and freer from their clutches with each passing day.

The only one of them I've seen in the news that made some sense to me is Pastor Tunde Bakare who stated that the Church is not a physical building but the body of Christians and that this lock down period is an opportunity for Christians to evangelize in their local neighborhoods without the need to go to a physical church building.

Common Corona Virus, these Greedy Deceitful Nigerian Pastors can not heal and yet they proclaim to believe in the Bible when Jesus said in John 14:12 that whoever believes in Him, the works that he did, that person will do also and greater works than these will that person do as well.

So the question for these Greedy Deceitful Nigerian pastors is this :- Did they ever believe in the Jesus they Preached about and if so, does John 14:12 not exist in their own "version" of the Bible

Or are they just Charlatans and Chancers like most rational Nigerians have come to see Nigerian pastors as

The more you try to disgrace and discredit our God sent, demon chasing, tongues speaking and Word delivery pastors, the more God uses them to perform wonders. It is high time we understand that hardly do pastors rely on offering for upkeep, they use the money strictly for church issues. Besides you that will give God money in church and come back to check what the money is used for, I think you have a greater problem than few pastors who eat church money they shouldn’t. That’s why there’s no blessings attached to our offering, seed or sacrifices.

Almost all the pastors I know own businesses, shares, TB etc. i know a pastor who is an importer of electronics. See if you know what these pastors know you can’t be poor. Just because they are pastors heading churches that’s why we talk about them every time.

The only REASONS Pastors may not be happy with lockdown is for the sake of the sheep . Firstly because they know that satan your father is behind this set up .

The church is the only hindrance satan has to carry out his wishes. If he can bring a distraction he can manipulate his way. But the church has adjusted. The church is now expanding in homes and online . Money is never a motive because people have been giving online before now now everyone is giving online.

The other reason is the fact that then church is ordained to gather . The church is a gathering . The church is assembly not individual.

There are however activities and sacraments of the church that cannot be done online. Social distance is a hindrance to some of these .

Social distance is a hindrance to

Water baptism

Laying of hands

Holy Communion

Child dedication

Church weddings

And there are other spiritual blessing of the corporate gathering of the church.

My dear, don't bother enlightening them. We've been on this forum since 2009. We seen different kind of antagonists. Pastor Kun was the chief among them. He spoke and spoke and used all kinda vituperations.. At the end, him tire. The Pastors kept moving on!


This guy now, the purpose of this thread is simple. Lie and get praise singers to concur or add to the lie. But, like the rest he'd get tired.

The sad part is, these posts will stand against them in judgement. It'll be regrettable. sad


Ask him now

1. How many soul has he won this year?

2. What has he done with the gospel of Jesus?

3. As he's not been giving to the church did his pastor go hungry? (assuming he's got a church)

You'd be amazed at the answers undecided

The church of christ is not the building but the Christian. It is important that the people of God (Christians) gather, in the book of hebrews chapter 10v25,the writer clearly states that we( Christians ) should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. When the church comes together,there is a co-operate anointing and fellowship that they enjoy and this is what the devil is trying to stop the church from doing, because he (the devil) knows that when the church of Christ prays in unity, his works are frustrated. If you think closing down churches has helped reduce the spread of the virus, then you need to do a rethink. How can markets be opened and the churches are not, it makes no sense.
So these are the reason why Pastors are doing all they can to ensure that churches are open again and not because of your tithes or offerings. Many pastors work hard for their money and it would be unwise to jump into a conclusion without making any investigation on how they got their money.
Also,you said they haven't been able to heal Corona virus. Well a lot of people have gotten healed,its just that you are not aware. The church of God is marching on and rye gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The answer is simple and has nothing to do with such petty subjects as offerings and tithes but rather it's primarily because the lockdown, wearing of face masks, isolation and social distancing are all unscientific and unnecessary as well as grand theft of our civil liberties, freedoms and rights which are all being hijacked in broad daylight and we are gladly applauding the culprits...that's why those that are against it are truly against it.
It's obvious that there is a global well synchronized conspiracy geared towards achieving an Agenda.
