Christianity is not a religion. It is simply a way of life i.e living like Christ.

If your life is not reflecting the life of Christ, you are not a Christian.

Remember, the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch because they are behaving like Christ.

Therefore, professing Christian does not make you a christian

Christianity as the world knows it today is a religion. That those who behaved like Christ were once called Christians does not then mean that those who call themselves Christians behave like CHrist. It is now more a nickname for those who belong to now Christian religion than much else.

Christianity is a religion. Culture is a way of life. Being Christian is not the same as being Ogoni, Tiv, or Zulu. Those are cultures - Christianity is not..

Your faith may not like reason, but don't force words to fit your own definition or meaning.

In reference to the above [b]bolded
. Is it the world that should determine who a Christian should be or the Bible which is the Word of God.

There is no new generation truth, its still the same old truth and it is valid for all ages.

Jesus did not introduce Christianity, He basically came to show us the way that is, how to live. That is the truth. The disciple themselves did not coin the word religion, why? Because that is not their calling. That is also the truth.

Why did the people of Antioch gave them the name? Because they behave like Christ. Therefore, let people see Christ in us to be qualify for the name Christian

The same reason you quoted above is the main reason that makes people err from the faith by bringing the assumptions into the scripture.

Anyway, show me from the scripture (just one place) where is is called religion...at least I gave you an example

Good question! However, since the Christian religion you have today was built and steeped in the doctrines and traditions of man, ignoring the very teachings and commands of the one it was meant to mirror, I think it is safe to say that this religion, as it remains today, more of the world.

In the book of matthew, Jesus said that by following the traditions and rules of men, what we do is nullify the word of God in our lives and situations. The beginnings of the Christian faith you have today are in fact linked to the Catholic faith, which, by the traditions and rules of men, was established about 1700 years ago. So yes, these aren't new generation truths-- it is the same old truth of the Roman Church and is as valid as it had been for the roman church for about 1700 years.

The reason that the disciples stayed away from religion was likely because of Jesus warnings. But after the death of the disciples, the original movement was hijacked by a bunch of power hungry Bishops and lo, and so as history in forms, what we have today was birthed as a result.

The Christian religion of today has all but completely abandoned the many warning that Christ gave his followers, and essentially carved it's own path as far as Jesus' commands are concerned. That the word "Christian" was coined in antioch to describe those who originally was Christ-like, does not mean that those who are a part of the Christian religion, whether it bears the same name, possess the same attributes.
