After a long, long, agonising wait, the return of the beautiful game has come. Football is back! Well, technically, football has been going on in some Minor leagues, and even the German second division had played prior to the Bundesliga kickoff. But the return of the Bundesliga marks the return of elite football. And now, the first goal has been scored! Guess who? None other than Erling Braut Haaland!  The teenage Dortmund sensation has picked up right where he left off, tapping home a low cross from Thorgan Hazard in the 28th minute to open the scoring for Borussia Dortmund in their Derby against Schalke 04. This means that Haaland has now scored the first goal since the return of the Bundesliga. Its also the first goal we will be witnessing across the major five leagues post-coronavirus break. He has now also scored 10 Bundesliga goals this year - more than any other player.  Unfortunately there were no fans at the stadium to celebrate with, as matches are being played behind closed doors. But feast assured, Dortmund fans - and football lovers worldwide - will be celebrating that goal wherever they are. Welcome back, Elite football.
