Galadima has characteristics to be worse than Abacha if given the chance.

In fact, many of today's youths have one way or the other proved they'd be worse than Abacha if they're given the chance.

If Abacha was alive, we would not have known all of his loots we now know.

What of IBB's, Atiku's, OBJ's, Abdulsalami's loots?

Saddam Hussein was one of them. Muammar Gaddafi was one of them. They adviced him that there was the likelihood that the US could sanction Nigeria and as such he should save money outside that could last the country, at least, six months, even Nigeria’s account was blocked by the US, there won’t be panic

cock and bull story

fear them old men lying is an act to them

The man said Abacha hid the money to be able to grade US sanctions and that sounds very logical given that he was anti west. It is now left for us to go back and read the memos from the then minister of finance to corroborate these statements[/s].

I guess you are in the camp of those who believe that anyone that question Jonathan must be a Buhari supporter? So because I have a question about Jonathan, now all of a sudden I must be a Buhari supporter? Ain't you doing the same thing that you are accusing others of?

He was trying to avoid USA sanctions on Nigeria and he still starched some of the money in USA banks ... Anyway my father said that once you noticed that an old man is lying to you in a story you should just keep nodding your head.

Who brought the sanctions on Nigeria
USA, Commonwealth due to the dictator regime.

But that's not the issue for discussion. We are looking at the money and what could have happened.

Abacha's regime was a terrible time for Nigeria regarding human rights violations and the rest but the economy was in the right place.

Dumb excuses.

You cannot stach away public funds in private accounts for no good reason.

This is how Buba Galadima and Atiku were planning on staching away out money if elected. Thank baba God.
So what about Buhari who said Abacha never stole. What was he planning to do with our money?

When an ignorant person is brainwashed It will be waste of time trying to say the truth. Buba Galadima should just ignore them.

The kind of propaganda done to make Abacha a monster by the Lagos-Ibadan Media can never be unraveled by anyone.

Any way Galadima thank you for trying to educate them.

Abacha was very unfortunate to have died and immediately be succeeded by two of his staunch enemies (Abdulsalam Abubakar & Obj) with an axe to grind against him.

Both had strong motives to hate and castigate him: Abdulsalam was due to be probed & dismissed from the Army; while Obj was already in jail and on death row under the Abacha regime; they also had a willing media, own and controlled by yet more of his enemies; and together they succeeded in maligning him as the greatest kleptomaniac this country's history; they simply took advantage of their positions and the fact that he was no longer alive to defend himself.

The so called Abacha loot had already been debunked several times by those in the know; key ppl who were part of the decision to stash part of Nigeria's wealth (as a makeshift foreign reserves) out fear against real threat of foreign sanctions - fuelled at the time by relentless propaganda by the regime's opposition, particularly NADECO, some of whose powerful members are very much alive today and still influential, in upholding this misleading narrative against the man (abacha).

Among those involved and who had since spoken out included Generals: Jeremiah Useni, Bamayi (now deceased), late Professor Sam Aluko (his economic adviser) and latterly Buba Galadima - among others.

Abacha was definitely not a saint; however, he was not as corrupt as his detractors want us to believe.

He was in fact an astute and prudent leader who presided over this country with the least amount of resources: oil price fell as low as $9 per barrel under his term; yet he was able to give stability to the economy (forex was maintained at N81=$1) and still carry out major projects (significantly via PTF) - a feat that many of his successors with far more resources at their disposal could not repeat.

What makes you think he doesn't know the man? They served together in the military for about 20 years and he later got an appointment from his govt. He was just being loyal to a man who called him to the table after all was lost.

Anybody who thinks Jonathan is better than any of the other politicians needs a brain transplant.
Same goes for those who are defending Buhari while over 1billion dollars remain unaccounted for.

I keep telling people. The north is our problem and will continue to be. Look at northern youths defending lies by same galadima that they all maligned last year. Now he has become a good man since he's defending one of their own.

If I may ask you sir, do you really believe the money he kept in private accounts in western nations who are strong US allies would have been available to him if US sanctioned his govt? As at the time he was in govt, Saddam and Gaddafi were US pointsmen in their respective regions and you believed the talk that they were giving advice that was inimical to US interests? If Abacha wanted to do something of sort, why didn't he divest the money to Russia or Cuba who are known US enemies? Why keep them with US friends? Truth is as long as Abacha remains a cult hero to northern guys and GEJ to some southern guys, this country is going nowhere. Abacha looted those monies. No amount of propaganda by you northerners will ever change that fact. Ask Malami.
