Yes, you're quite justified in concerning yourself with the matter of economy and livelihood of the citizens. But that doesn't mean you should water it down to "cold, cough and cattarh". The virus is a pandemic that came to really highlight this countries problems. So many things are not in place for things to work out irrespective of whatever idea you bring to the table An indefinite lockdown portends hunger, increase in crime and many other detestable situations. On the other hand, going about things without a care in the world will result in an italy-esque situation. So Nigeria chose the middle ground—losing wealth and compromising the citizens health. |
