First establish the fact, then U will understand the word “rise” is only a description.

The sun is still remember?? That is a fact...
The earth is rotating and also revolving is another fact......so where ever you are on the surface of the earth the earth seems to be emerging from your east.......,This is because the Earth naturally turns towards the east in its rotating and revolving operation but the sun stays still, therefore, the sun always appears to you from that same east direction!

By evening, the Earth would have spinned enough that the sun appears in a different or opposite part of the sky( note the sun never really moved, that’s what make it look like it’s positioned in a different place in the sky from where it emerged from)

Land of the rising sun and land of the falling sun..

For earth the east gets the sun rays 1st before the west because the sun sits at the middle of these planets while the planets rotate on their axis and move in an orbit around the sun. There are also one or two planets that rotate in opposite direction to the east and it will be "the sun rises in the west and sets in the east"..
I don't just know how to teach no matter how I try..

Go and read high school Geography. There's what we call Earth rotation every 24hrs. The sun is stationary but the Earth is in orbit, so when you see the sun rising in the east, it means that the Earth has rotated to that portion. Lemme end here
