A hungry and frustrated man is the easiest man to manipulate.this is exactly what is downplaying in the South East, it is also the reason why ipob is gaining an ever growing popularity in the southeast.the inhabitants especially the youths in the South East are frustrated as a result of poor infrastructure which is a hindrance to the economic development of the region, this is the major reason why Igbos are migrating to all parts of the country and the world at large the truth is the grass is greener on the other side when compared to the grass in igboland.if the government is really serious about ending the BiAfra struggle this below factors should be put into consideration.

1) CREATE A SEAPORT IN THE SOUTHEAST.
Geographically igboland is not landlocked ,It is only landlocked politically , Geographically portharcourt, bonny etc are all part of the Igbo groups, all geographers around the world understand that but post-civil war politics has polluted the minds of many there .still not withstanding a country of about 200million people operating using only one seaport doesn't show we are really serious about economic development, no wonder Lagos is so rich.
If Aba and Onitsha have seaports it will not only create foster economic development of the South East but Nigeria as a whole.River Niger or river imo should be dredged then a seaport should be built in one of these cities.

2)CREATING AN ADDITIONAL STATE IN THE SOUTHEAST.
All geopolitical zones in the country has 6 states why does the Southeast have only 5 States?every reasonable mind will see this as pure maginalisation it means less allocations to the Southeast. A state should be created in the Southeast or Anioma should be extracted from the South South and added to the Southeast .

3)AN ACTIVE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
There should be an active international airport in the Southeast so as to foster international trade and encourage investors there too, whenever I travel to the east I am so disappointed at the the level of underdevelopment there even the biggest cities looks like villages.

If the above factores are put into consideration by the federal government it will create job opportunities and good standard of living in the South East and no reasonable youth will listen to secessionist when life is good for him.Failure to do that by the federal government means the spirit of BiAfra will never die, marginalization of an ethnic group of over 50million is madness and a time bomb loading this generation is protesting in peace the next generation may take up arms.

God bless Africa.

Why are your representatives or politicians not hammering this to federal government? Its your governors and senator you need to hold ransom.

When other region leaders are fighting for their people. Your region politicians are busy fighting 4 their pocket.

In order not to ask question, they push the Biafra theory to una head.
Re: 3 ways the Federal Government can put an end to The Biafra Struggle by temblor1(m): 3:00pm On May 19, 2020
Except through coup, nothing for the East. They only enjoyed such dividends during the military era. Instead of agitating for Biafra, I guess they would do better to call for a return to military rule.
The East is still not yet ripe for democracy. It keeps scoring own goals, thus no one canopy can contain the Igbos as their disunity knows no bounds.
A case study at hand on Biafra agitations, should be on why the East rejected late Gen. Odumegwu Ojukwu's (APGA) candidacy as a presidential flag bearer as shown by the votes casted in the 2003 general election; Biafra being his brainchild,?
This is shown in the chart below. Abia States result is quite evident
Thus Biafra remains a fable and poverty alleviation dreams, for the cunning ones amongst the Igbos cheesy cheesy cheesy

Even if FGN pave all eastern roads with gold, Biafra will continue to rage on
Biafra is a myth designed by Igbo elite to keep the masses in check (bondage). As far as they have a united enemy (FGN) they will never be able to criticize or call local leaders to order. The average biafran cannot think beyond his nose. Thankfully not all igbos are biafrans

This is like somone asking a genie in the bottle to grant wishes that are not bound to natural laws.

1. Seaport in Aba? Lmao
2. Additional state where there is no land? Lmao. We can setup a state in an erosion gully
3. Active airport? Did anybody force you not to fly or increase traffic to Akamu airport? Lmao

Government should tackle poverty, that is the real problem, just as terrorism has its roots in social grievance fueled by poverty so does ipob. Look at the poverty rate in the east only Anambra did splendid, I was quite surprised that there is more poverty in it compared to SS. So Government must begin to actively hold SE governors to do more about poverty which makes the youths susceptible to manipulations from a very fraudulent individual.
FG must compel states to do more in poverty reduction.

wait a minute , return to which military, military that has been routed by a rag tag militia for the past 10 years and has not been able to quell any armed insurrection ? if the east voted for obasanjo it goes a long way to show how detribalised and objective they have been in the time past

if with their high povverty rate there is nothing like 1 million boys in the east, and skull mining and Almajirai then the poverty statistics is faulty and full of wrong statistic ,the 1 million boys pandemic alone has already done enough damage and made nonsense of the statistics
