A lot of people consider preaching the gospel as their greatest calling, but should that be the case?
Preaching the gospel involves any means of circulating the gospel of Christ such that, the whole world is becoming aware of Christ and more people are accepting him. This means may include verbal preaching in churches, mass media such as Television, Radio and life broadcast streaming of messages through the internet, sharing of hand bills, etc. The primary aim of preaching and circulating the gospel of Christ is to reconcile man to God, and to restore the eternal life that was once lost through the sin of Adam and Eve. 1 Corinthians 15:22.
But before the fall of Adam and Eve, God gave Adam a calling, a mandate which is :

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, AND REPLENISH THE EARTH.. .

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REPLENISH THE EARTH? In this context, the word replenish means to restore, repair or build what has been destroyed. It follows that, due to the fall of Adam and Even this world was heading for destruction. Matthew 13:28.
But Christ's resurrection restored back the life in man and hope of building this a world into a better place. 1 Corinthians 15:22.
Today by default, we all are directly or indirectly involved in the process of building this world into a better place as our first priority by way of engaging into various carriers and professions, THEREFORE REPLENISHING THIS EARTH IS YOUR GREATEST CALLING.

DOES WINNING SOULS ALSO INVOLVES REPLENISHING THE EARTH?
Well, some folks says winning souls for Christ also involves having people repent from their evil ways as repentance makes these people to stop committing sin thereby making this world a better place, and i agree with them to some extent. But I'm quick to point out to them that, if you repent of your evil ways that does not guarantee your salvation, therefore winning souls for Christ has nothing to do with repentance and replenishing this world into a better place which is our first priority.

Anyone irrespective of who you are, whether you believe in Christ or not,you can repent of your sin even without the gospel or without Christ. But your salvation will depend on whether you believe in Christ or not. John 14:16

One is the essence of the other. So, both are important but replenishing the earth is more important because without that, when the old are weak and can no longer spread the gospel, no body will take over and continue from where they stopped. So both are intertwined and cannot be juxtaposed.
