Nice one
But them for change this Edo location to another local government

Many schools dey that side na
Uniben dey there
Igbinedion university dey there
Ekiadolor dey there

Probably not uhunmwode! Because Ambrose Ali and auchi dey along that side including Edo university iyahmo
And moreover two electrical power plant dey that side( ihovbor)

So Make them push this new college go another side

UNDERSTAND YOUR SENTIMENT ON THIS BUT DON'T FORGET THAT EKIADOLOR WAS 'CONVERTED' INTO TAYO AKPATA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION BY THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT WITHOUT ANY DEVELOPMENT.
THIS APPROVAL SOLVES A VERY TRICKY PROBLEM FOR THE EDO STATE GOVERNMENT: FUNDING THREE 'STATE' UNIVERSITIES WITH VERY LIMITED MEANS.

Just learnt the State College of Edu at Ekiadolor was closed. Perhaps this is meant to take its place.

That's so absurd of our government.... are they taking care of the already established institution?
Why will they establish another institution?
I will advise any jambite not to choose or select any of the institution.... I know what my friend faced during the time former president Goodluck

Misplaced priorities.

Of what purpose will approving these new Colleges when the old ones in existence are totally nothing to write home about.

It's not about the amount of these Campus in a country that matter, rather, it's the amount of academic impact they make in the country that really matters.

Stupíd leaders with stupíd followers.

You meant stupid rulers.

In the age of COVID19 why not invest in the current universities and higher institutions to increase their capacity to provide distance learning thereby expanding their reach at less the cost.

Good development.
Meanwhile, the opinion of Those that do criticize creation of more institution are not needed here. ONLY if they know hundreds of secondary School students turns out yearly to join those ones that were unable to secure admission as Nigeria institution can take JUST roughly 300'000 students yearly. Whereas close to 2m candidates wrote this last jamb. More tertiary institutions doesn't stop Government from getting to the task of taking good care of the ones we had already. It's a fundamental right of every citizen to be educated.
The last time I checked, Indian has over three thousand tertiary institutions, how many do we have in Nigeria?

Stupíd leaders with stupíd followers.

Instead of counting the number of tertiary institutions in India, why not count the amount of electricity that India generates, the numbers of working oil refineries and petrochemical plants, the numbers of steel plants and agro-processing factories.

India has the services, manufacturing and agriculture industries that can absorb the millions of graduate that they produce. Nigeria cannot even pay the salaries of the universities lecturers.

What matter is not the number of graduates, but the quality of graduates.

There is just no point of comparison man, No sane person can even think about it. India is energy surplus ie they produce more then what they need.
India generates 376 GW shocked shocked and i read they are going to tipple this output within 15 years, thats crazy
while Nigeria has mere not more then 8000MW (Only one city in India can consumes more then what total Nigeria can produce).

I agree with you when you said "Quality of Graduates"

They is nothing wrong adding another institution to the existing ones in Ovia North east LGA. Don't forget dat d LGA is purely an agrarian area with dis addition d economy of d area will bounce back to life.

That's where you got it all wrong. All those you've mentioned are NECESSITY as well as NEW TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS. You won't because those are not available and fault the one that's available.

It's good to have those institutions, but majority of the purpose of setting up such projects is just full of politics to embezzle funds.
