EID IN SOKOTO: MALAM MUSA LUKUWA DEFIES SULTANATE ORDERS Sheikh Musa Lukuwa a renowned Islamic scholar defying Sultanate orders today conducted his Eid prayers at his mosque marking today the 1st day of Shawwal Islamic calendar. The sheikh whom has been known to challenge and fault the sultan's directives almost annually on accusations of skewness in reporting the sighting of the moon is also an elder and a teacher of the recently arrested Sheikh Bello Yabo. As the Muslim community got disintegrated once again after a claimed sighting of the moon and Sultanate orders to conduct 30 fastings for the blessed month of Ramadan. Our prayers are May Allah continue to eliminate all disagreements, misunderstandings and bring peace to our Ummah. Thank you
