Ugandan students at Makerere University have produced their first set of electric buses.

The buses prototype was shown off at a stadium in Uganda's captial in Kampala. It works on solar energy.

One of its two batteries can be fully charged on the roof which increases the vehicle's range of 80km.

Partners now come from different parts to help the makers produce more for the mass market.
