Post Covid-19 Strategy.

As part of government strategies to enforce the lockdown order to the later, to check illegal immigrants, particularly at the entry point of Akwa Ibom State, the Akwa Ibom State government through the executive chairman Oruk Anam Local Government Area, Hon. Atuekong Ubong Idiong laid the foundation and also monitored the installation of 3G Camera at the East-West road of Oruk Anam being the boundary between Akwa Ibom State and Rivers State.

This is in fulfilment of Governor Udom Emmanuel's promise during one of his state broadcast that the state government will install 3G camera in all boarders of the state to checkmate illegal movement and activities into the state during this COVID-19 pandemic

Ealier, the Oruk Anam council boss, Hon Atuekong Ubong Idiong in a bid to promote rural and traditional institution, he made a donation of a new motorcycle to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of the area for domestic use and prompt dissemination of information in the rural area.

Responding,the Paramount Ruler,HRM Akuku Engr J. J. Obosi (JP) thanked the Chairman for his kind gesture. The Royal father, stated that since in he lives in the royal area, the motorcycle for now will be of great help for the despatch of information to traditional rulers in the area and other domestic errand.

Akuku Obosi said he is optimistic that the Chairman being a humble and a cheerful giver will soon donate a back-up vehicle to him. He assured the executive chairman of the continuous support and blessings of the royal fathers to his administration now and beyond.

In another development, Atuekong Idiong upon being informed on the attack by hoodlums at the palace of the Clan Head of Nung Ikot Clan, His Highness Obong Mfon Jimmy and carted away valuable properties and a motorcycle, the Chairman in his swift response also donated a new motorcycle and other gifts to the Clan Head to aid his movement within the rural area

Obong Mfon Jimmy appreciated Hon. Idiong, saying he is a good man, that having heard of his predicament, the Chairman decided to salvage the situation. He prayed God to bless the Chairman and his cabinet.
