Nigeria was sanctioned and couldn't trade oil in open market, Abacha deviced a perfect plan to make our oil buyers pay into private accounts of his associates like Issa Bagudu, and the Defense Minister among others.. the money was then used to buy needed commodities Nigeria needed so that we don't die of poverty and starvation... and Since he died all of a suden everybody started laying claims on the money

Nigeria was sanctioned by who? Go and ask Iran what a sanction looks like.
Abeg stop all the lies. I never knew you were part of the Abacha crew. Shame

is either you were so young or you resided in a remote village not to know the loads of sanctions US, UN and all their allies gave us during Abacha regime due to continuous detention of abiola... ask anyone about the days when we ate white corn as rice (egbo ati ewa) cos rice wasn't entering, or when we cooked with sawdust when kerosene wasn't available due to sanction...

"..Muhammadu Buhari has always been invested in cleansing Abacha’s appallingly grubby reputation as a murderous larcener. During the 10th-year-rememberance anniversary of Abacha in Kano in June 2008, for instance, Muhammadu Buhari remarked that, contrary to settled narratives in the Nigerian public sphere, Abacha never stole from Nigeria."

Nobody is deceived with this your whitewashing of a man that was a well know know accompliance to a criminal & defended the same criminal with gusto.

That was then. He has now gone over the details of the looted funds and realized his was mistaken. Abacha indeed the greatest looter followed by Diezani.

What is wrong in stating the facts when in government, to correct a statement made outside governance and probably just to honour the dead?

Juxtapose your two posts together.

However, Nigeria was never sanctioned, at least economy or trade-wise by the US, UN or any country for that matter. Only the commonwealth suspended Nigeria's membership for two years and that was just from attending meetings not trade wise when Saro-Wiwa was murdered by Abacha. You can ask yourself how Nigeria was sanctioned by the UN yet the present CoS remained a permanent rep to the UN till the end of the Abacha tenure. Or do you think UN sanctioned countries are allowed to have perm. reps?

For the brainwashed tins that Cownu, FFK and Mumu Reno brainwahsed their empty brains into believing PMB says the dark-evil- googled general (Abacha) never stole a single penny.
Can you now see your life?

Our darling Daddy that we know will never ever recount on his words.
He asked you failures (the only 2 times he has time to respon to your lying stupidity to quote when he says such, but you and your wailing criminals of failures all kept mute to the challenge and will only continue after some months...pathetic liars!)

But this is the power of brainwashing.
They keep lying to their dead brains, quoting and concocting lies with no credible source, whatsoever to back up their lies, apart from quoting from their totoriblog.com....foolishness @ it's peak!

Being brainwashed is truly one of the most dangerous thing in life.
And more so, it is addictive and easily transferred to fellow light headed innocent kids.

WAILERS ARE LIARS!
Wailing zombies everywhere!!

This darling daddy group sef grin
One must be so senseless to be admitted into their crew cheesy

shocked Subuhanallahi! "Undemocratic junta"? The head of the junta does not have a name? Yet this hypocrite was a partaker? Why did the mods changed the original article?

Meanwhile, after the hypocrisy have been exposed and the dummy refused to sell. Now the rhetoric is- "Sani Abacha, Nigeria’s late military Dictator, stole close to $1bn between 1993 and 1998." and his protegeè followed suit.Truth can never be changed.

$1billion x 100 = $100 billion

that his why the Abacha family can not be as broke as Dangote

the interest accruing from the looted funds is what they are returning to Nigeria not the principal amount.

The principal is lost to the western world forever more!!!!

Am living in an alternate reality. Wasn't it this guy that opened the door for all the military criminals to steal our money. Buhari is definitely Nigeria's worst president. If buhari had never been born, Nigeria would have been better off

Please, stop this bullshit narrative. Whichever way you look at it, it is senseless for Abacha to warehouse Nigerian emergency funds in countries that were active participants in the sanctions imposed on the country. The reality is that Abacha, through his close acquaintances was simply feathering his own nest.

One of the leaders of the junta died intestate- sudden death- was not able to hide his loots.

The second of the junta used his loot to contest presidential elections several times - till he succeeded.

This one will just be wailing about the past. After repeatedly blaming PDP and GEJ, you still want to blame the military juntas for your failure ? You are the president now , do something with the billions of dollars you have borrowed. You fought for 12 years to become President. Now you are president, this is all you can offer?

The most useless person in this country!

If this report is true, then this Is a prove to support the claims that some of the Abacha loot are not really loots from Abacha because Nigeria have received more than 1billion dollars of Abacha loot since the time of Abdulsalam and Obasanjo till date. Which set my mind thinking who owns the other loots repatriated under the guise of Abacha loot! shocked

What stops this government revealing those who stashed the monies away. Is transparency and accountability a taboo with this government, since they were voted in under the mantra " Change". I guess what they meant was change the government. Until they tell Nigerians, who stole those funds, it remains Abacha loot.

Why did Abacha put all those money in banks and not buy houses, gold, cars and other properties?

I don't think all the money are looted as we are made to believe. Yes he looted some but I think that a good percentage of this money was simply put away for a reason best known to him and his crew.

I have marked your statement , you loot lawyer , funny thing is they loot never gave you kobo , yet you defend them... Sowa alright?
