The Tales Of My Fathers by poetictwenty(m): 11:45am On May 30, 2020
As the moon came with her borrowed light
We took our seats under the calm mango tree.
The moon lighted the stage from his position above,
And joined us in waiting for father to take his place among our midst.
As fathers voices echoed from a distance,
The little ones faces were painted with smiles
While the heart of the older ones drown in bitterness.
For they know what tale is about to leave fathers lips.
Father marched out dressed like a soldier,
With a song that twin his steps ,dancing on his lips.
He sat down and went straight to business of the night.
As he undressed his emotions clothed in moonlight tales.
He still remember all the events that make up this bitter tales,
And the story still draw tears out of his eyes.
A young boy, who was forced to fight a brother,
The moon only rose to see this boy armed with a gun,
He's now a soldier, ready to head to the battlefield.
Crowned with zeal to defend his Nation-the land of the rising sun.
He faced the bullets, and survived land mines,
But his friends couldn't,
For they still lay unburied in bushes and Rivers.
