Fathers Are Not Men by poetictwenty(m): 10:25am On Jun 21, 2020 |
As I walk the path that leads to manhood - Going through the valleys of failures And climbing the mountains of great success. I walked my mind back to my natal days - Days I picked my needs in the pockets of my Father. Each day, as the sun dies a painless death, Leaving the sky to wear a funeral attire. He returns home with smiles dancing on his face. Leaving behind the sorrows of the day on the road that leads home. while bringing home the joy no money can buy. When my feet walked the path that leads to dark tomorrow; His stripes guarded me like a shepherd leading his sheep's While his words was a road sign That guarded me on the path he has once travelled. As the thoughts of my journey so far runs in my head, My neck forced my head into a dance- A dance that shows an agreement to the acient Truth : That it takes more than a third leg to be a Father.. #Happy Fathers day (2020) 1 Like |
