DURING THE LOCKDOWN, DSTV NEVER CONTRIBUTED ANYTHING, SUCH AS FREE TO AIR TV FOR SOME MAJOR STATIONS, THEY CONTINUE TO SHOW REPEATED MOVIES AND OTHER STUFFS. NIGERIAN GOVT SHOULD FORCE THEM TO ADOPT PAY AS YOU GO. THE PROBLEM WE HAVE IN NIGERIAN TV SATELLITE STATIONS IS THAT DSTV IS MORE ORGANISED AND FAR AHEAD. NIGERIAN BRANDS ARE NOT AS REACH AS DSTV CONTENT. BUT WE CAN START SOMEWHERE 3 Likes |

Nonsense. Of all the things to protest about. Is DSTV an essential service? Do the poor really care about DSTV? Was it Multichoice that told the Federal Government to increase VAT? Isn't the increase a few hundreds of Naira in most cases? The Nigerian middle-class could behave stupidly at times. If you don't want, port to Startimes or other alternatives. 9 Likes 1 Share |

The twitter guy Dorsey has had his fortunes turn up thanks to Trump majorly, and other groups for making twitter relevant again. It was once an obsolete app heading to extinction. Every issue is now debated on Twitter. Anyways it’s quite insensitive of Dstv. 5 Likes |

Since we have decided not to upgrade, let them continue grinding us. How can you set up a biz such that customer service agents can call a customer but that customer cannot reach the agent on same number! You never get called to give feedback on customer satisfaction, only to renew subscription. How sustainable is that? Calling them to fix an issue during off hours is not even possible.....they just don't care! Our politicians should also look into investing in this area with the money the steal from us. Building hotels with looted funds that masses cannot afford just doesn't make sense. Green legacy owned by OBJ will collect 30k for the cheapest room, Gbenga Daniel's conference hotel is even out of it.....50k! How much did these criminals pay the working masses as minimum wage? 9 Likes |

SarkinYarki:I have used DStv from 2005 to 2015,when I simply decided to dump it because of the price increase, bad buhari economic policy and the lack of good and interesting programs, the time I bought DStv in 2005 it was #45k with the dish magazine, they were showing almost the whole football league in the world that time french,Spain,Brazil, premier league,2nd division,American, italy,Russian, the list is endless, their other channels are so educative and interesting, but down the line even premium channels like Discovery and history starts to show pawn stars and other rubbish,I am predicting that smart phones is the next frontier and it will sink DStv. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

To put such a critical service in the hands of a foreign company is where the issue lies. Why should they think about Nigerians when they are not a Nigerian company and was not establish to serve Nigerians but to serve their shareholders who are South Africans. They are just here to make money and anything that reduces their profit, they will resist. What human face are we talking about when you are referring to foreign corporate profiteers. Dstv will continue with their inhuman practices until we take charge of our broadcasting infrastructure. 1 Like |

subscribers to DStv and GOtv have taken to social media to reject and protest the latest increase in tariff. This is more like it. Cowards. These online protests began in the late hours of Saturday and Nigerians have continued to call on the government and regulatory bodies to help overturn this increase. They should go and sleep. DStv provides quality entertainment to people who would otherwise never come across such. If they want a reduction in subscription prices then the company should downgrade back to Standard Definition. Let’s see how much the consumers will like it. I’ve already downgraded from the Premium bouquet to the Compact. Anything I want to watch which is not provided in the package I have the option to download online. With every Big Brother season I’ll upgrade back to Premium, but seeing that Nairalanders are able to watch the show then it’s safe to assume Compact subscribers can view it. 2 Likes |
