Ten Things We Must Address To End Rape by Nobody: 8:57pm On Jun 01, 2020
Let me begin by saying that rape is evil, it's a terrible thing and no one (male or female) should ever experience it. We must put an end to rape and I believe it involves all of us. To end rape I've listed few things I feel we should look at and we must address if we are to going to be successful.

We must talk about the kind of training our children (male and female) receive at home, school, on the street etc.

Our culture that says it's okay for men and women to be promiscuous in the name of exploring their sexuality.

The education sector, the curricular, the teachers, lecturers, do we have a system that punish sex offenders in our institutions and places of learning? Are we ready for a system that encourage teachers, parents, guardians and caregivers to speak up and expose parents and teachers that molest and take advantages of our children?

The quality of our music. The lyrics, do you listen to them? What do they promote?, Our rap is filled with violent words. Our music videos constantly sexualize women and some promote violence and drugs.

Our movies, how are they like, how about content?, what do they promote?. We produce movies where the protagonist can violently and in some cases sexual molest people in order to achieve an aim and we juatify it because at the end of the day he's the good guy.

How about the lifestyle of the so called celebrities that our children look up to? How do they live? What do we read about them? How many of them are scandal free?

How about our cartoons. The average cartoon on our screen is filled with violence, all kinds of violence.

The social media. What do we see there. The social media space is saturated with all kinds of suggestive material. The ladies and guys constantly post body parts that should be covered for likes, retweet and following and we applaud them. It's like a competition, who will out do the other. When you show us your camel toe or phallus, are you not molesting us? Think about it.

We must talk about honouring our religious organisations. Honour, fear and respect for our these organisations has been lost because some 'woke' group of persons tell us daily that they are useless. Religious leaders are rediculed on social media everyday. When a man is rediculed, respect is lost.

A man entered a church with the intention to rape shows how much disrespect he has for the church. Check the root of that disrespect and you'll see that he has been listening to somebody who has been telling him that religious organizations have become useless and that it's okay to disrespect them.

Add yours..

Stoping rape, sayingnotorape is a collective responsibility, let's all join hands and end this evil. Some person will come here to criticize me, well that will show you that some are not ready yet.
