PART 7. How does the word of God make our spirit and soul alive? Diagram B and C.


First and foremost we have to know what the scripture says about the Word of God.
In Hebrews 4:12 the scripture states:
For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
As we listen to or study the word of God, it moves so quick with great power, divides our spirit and soul apart; thus cutting the veil of our heart and being in contact with the spirit on the one part, seizes our conscience and draws us to repentance through the convictions of the Holy Spirit. On the other part the word of God becomes a bridge to allow the free movement of the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit now resident in our spirit into our soul. Thus we receive the comfort of the Holy Ghost, a binding and healing of the wounds of our soul.
As a very sharp two edged sword, the word pierces also to the joints and marrow. To the joints, it renews our strength and straightens out our spiritual walk in Christ. To the marrow where the blood cells are being formed, it deadens the old blood cells with the old life and generates a brand new set of blood working out a new life in Christ Jesus It also sends a search light into our hearts exposing every thought and intent of it for a complete purging. Lastly the peace that passes all understanding runs through our whole man. It does so because the Spirit of God must witness to our Spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8:16
Let us critically examine the spirit/soul and Holy of Holies/Holy place connections. Here the curtain separates them as seen in the diagram B and C. The curtain encloses the Glory of God and His presence in the Holy of Holies barring it from entering the Holy place. When our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, it was so fascinating that the curtain was torn into two from top to bottom showing that the price for our sins has been paid. Praise the Lord! No man knew that it was of temporal existence.WOW .This is God working to bring man back to Himself. Praise the name of the Lord.
God’s plan was not to dwell permanently in the Holy of Holies but to extend His presence and glory to the Holy place. So also as we receive Christ into our spirit, the subsequent plan of God to share His presence and glory within our soul becomes a reality. Our spirit therefore is the Heaven within us while our soul becomes the inner earth and our body becomes the outer earth.
Jesus Christ taught us how and what to pray to the Father in Matthew 6:9-10. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven. Hallow be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Also in Luke 17:20-21 the Lord replied when the Pharisees asked him when the kingdom of God will come: …….The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say Lo! Here or lo there! For, behold the kingdom of God is within you
. Beloved if the kingdom of God is within us then heaven, the dwelling place of God is within us. God dwells in His kingdom therefore as born again children of God; our spirit has become the dwelling place of God. God, the Father and the Son comes in and takes up residence in us by His Spirit, to start the work of transforming our soul to be like our spirit and to prepare us as the Bride of Christ.
In John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him and we will come unto him and make an abode with him.
