The Indian company should pay the villagers their due money immediately. What nonsense, you can't commit manslaughter and still refuse to pay. They are the geese that lays the golden egg!!

Misplaced aggression.
They should have taken their frustrations to Imo state government which had devoted oil proceeds to Imo state towards building state capital since Imo state was created, but abandoned rest of the state, including oil producing areas.

COMPAQ:
So before oil company came there don't they bury their dead before? How many people there have used N100k as burial rite before, or even seen N1mln before, now they are looking for N20mln.

The company killing those 3 people is not good, but let's face facts, this is just about using the dead to make money.

And someone will be asking why Nigeria's cost of production is more than Saudi and Russia. This kind of stuff goes on in every oil producing community.
so what are you insinuating ? there shouldn't be any compensation . what is 20 million for killing 3 humans.

Those people are possibly bread winners in their families, the company makes a lot of money from the community and it behoves on them to show empathy to the bereaved dependents, let's be considerate, put yourself in the shoes of the mourning families and community members losing a loved one to NNPC carelessness for instance.

Owners of Owerri shall be laughing at them.

Successive leaders of Imo state channel oil proceeds to build city of Babel in Owerri while other areas of the state decay.

Native land owners in Owerri sell a plot of land and become instant multi millionaires.

They tell the falsehood that state capital belongs to all. But truth is that the leaders are selfish as they are settled with their families in the state capital, but abandon rest of the state to decay.

Sterling Oil owned by an Indian.

Even Indian don dey own oil company for naija? grin

Then military security was escorting oil tanker.

Why the fvk is military escorting oil tanker, abi dat oil na the allocation to a Army General?

If na Army operate the vehicle that means Nigerian Army is also liable.

Anyway, why is Army escorting oil tanker, is that a military asset?

Wahala dey for Eastern Nigeria fa.

So now, three youngsters killed and no one cares to compensate for their loss. Why?

Can you post a single Credible link that fella was killed? Cause till now Nigerian embassy does not acknowledge, No news in any International newspapers.
All we see a brawl video on some blog or Niaraland.

These days you can not believe everything posted.
Dpharisee:
Companies should learn to respect the Customs and traditions of their host communities. You killed their people in an accident and refuse to show empathy to the bereaved families, perhaps the Indian company feel it's the responsibility of the Army whose personnel drove the vehicle to reach out to the families?

If you add to the recent murder of a Nigerian by a mob in India wrongly accused of picking pocket by a woman who could not even be traced you realise that many Indians (not all please) don't have respect for Nigerians and are poor racists.

Throwback:
Sterling Global!

Very miserly and miserable Indian oil company.

From what I have heard, their Durga rig operations in Kwale is like working in a refugee camp.

Don't expect any N20m payment anytime soon from that company.
Since indians finally entered into oil and gas in Nigeria and might conquer the sector soon.... Expect salaries like 30k in the oil sector soon
