I am a graduate of Animal science with a Masters degree in the same field with field experience working on farms as supervisor and manager, but the current pandemic made me lose my job based on staff reduction. I have lots of business proposals on agriculture on cassava, layers, fish, rabbits, goats, watermelon, cucumber, tomatoes but no fund in bringing them to life. Assistance in a getting a job or funds will be appreciated. My contact/WhatsApp: +2347035277815. Thanks. 2 Likes |

Hello @Patricktoks, I have a word of advise for you, sir. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD abroad, specifically the USA, your B.Sc, Masters and experience in Animal Science would be better appreciated and utilized. You would have a full ride scholarship that comes in form of Graduate Teaching Assistantship or Research Assistanship and you would be paid a monthly stipend that would take care of your living expenses, with some little savings if you are that prudent. You could follow this thread; https://www.nairaland.com/5233208/general-usa-student-visa-enquiries-part, ask questions and you will be good to go. If you are sincerely interested, I could pay for your GRE and TOEFL exams, if money to register for these two important exams is the problem.I would also personally recommend some schools for you, and guide you in case you need specific information at every step. Let me know your thought concerning this. Please, note, I'm not an agent, and I've got no ulterior motive behind rendering this assistance(if you choose to accept). I 'm simply a young Nigerian who has followed this part too, and still hoping for the best in life. 7 Likes |

patricktoks: I'm glad to know that you have already started thinking in that direction. While you wait for this scholarship from the Federal Government, you could also be looking at other alternative, which is what I've just spoken about. Please, you need to take proactive step and be thinking towards the Spring (January) 2021 or the Fall(August) 2021 admission. The process is very easy. You can send me a PM after you have made up your mind and have taken steps in understanding what the USA admission process entails. The GRE and TOEFL would be paid for(in case you need assistance), directly on your ETS account when you are ready and have opened one. 2 Likes |

I tell people going to school is not enough I see you want to build a career with what you studied. its not always so, Agric is very difficult to start because even the conditions of the loan are not favourable. Now instead of masters, you should have learnt a skill different from Agriculture that you can offer, you can still do that. I'm studying Agricultural Economics, I did Agricultural engineering in my ND and I noticed it's too narrow, I had to change when going for a bachelor's degree. other skills, driving, building (houses) I still want to learn forklift driving now you just have to versatile Nigeria no easy once you find yourself not studying a professional course you have to open your eyes. you can also learn graphics design any skill at all. I wish you success 2 Likes |
