ChengHun: I don't agree with the Bank solutions. Banks depend on Fintech companies for that. Fintech companies like Interswitch, Softcom, TeamApt, Paystack, Flutterwave etc employ developers from within the country and they are blacks. When it comes to programming... we still do it ourselves. It is construction that we are yet to get 100% black dominance. And gradually we will get there. Oshodi Interchange was built by 100% black company and those that did it were black Nigerians. 2 Likes |

Unilag may be ranked number 1 or whatever. That said, the level of significance we ascribe to universities is more than they deserve. Entrepreneurs are either born or made. Most successful entrepreneurs that have Unilag as their alma mater would've still been successful had they chose a different university to attend. A good number of them came from wealthy or quasi middle class families. I'm not saying you have to come from a wealthy family to be successful. The fact is there are a whole lot of factors that contributes to one's success as an entrepreneur. My message to young people out there who are yet to write WAEC and/or Jamb, do not choose a university simply because you've been sold the idea that only a handful of universities can make you somebody in life. Work on yourself instead. With the right amount of determination, prayer and astuteness you'll be unstoppable, irrespective of where you choose to gain higher education. 1 Like 1 Share |
