He was nominated March 2nd and not in February.....this is not the first time black life matter have protested, they have been there for many years. Trump currently have no nomination for more than 200 position in his cabinet now...and he conveniently called this-in in an election year.

All in all, this is an Election year nomination for Trump to pander to the black community, In March when he made that nomination, his approval rating among black in the single digits among blacks, even worst compare to 2016.
