[sub][/sub]The unsightly images of Nigeria universities posted frequently on this site is an eyesore. I am puzzled at Nigeria's claim of being The Giant of Africa. I also studied in Africa and I am glad to share images of what a university should look like. The University of Witwatersrand, South Africa 3 Likes

donbachi: I won't argue your views. I will assume you are not well travelled. Please Google search for other universities in Namibia, Botswana, Mauritius, Swaziland, Tunisia, Morocco, etc... These are all african countries and we claim to be their Giant. 2 Likes |

Amotolongbo: Travel to other African countries where the system works and see rapid development. Stop thanking the whites. We also had white colonial masters in Nigeria and all they left us is now in ruin. Even our cold mines. Simple mathematics. Educational budgets: Nigeria = N620.6 Billion South Africa = N9.15 Quadrillion = R396 Billion. You can't nvest peanuts into education coupled with corrupt academic and admistrative personnels and expect a good yield. 3 Likes |

Nigerian leaders do not value education. Thats why we have peanuts as budget for educational sector. Again, they & their children never school here. |

At least UI, OAU, ABU, etc had nice infrastructure. The eyesores were from the south east. I was ashamed, but I don't know who to blame yet - FG for underfunding them or sheer mediocrity by the university authorities? |
