Nigeria as usual.......how do you expect crime not to increase.......

They give #7000 naira to buy fuel for 4 months.....no wonder police no dey ever get fuel for thier vehicle......the entire Police & Military ranks and hierarchy needs to be flushed..... We need to overhaul the manual operationalizion of the police.....ban them entirely from handling cash in any way (except thier salaries), let the use of software with strict admin rights take over majority of the administrative processes.....let's see if police efficiency will not improve in Nigeria.....we all know the solution to our challenges... angry

The autopsy carried out at the Garki Hospital, Abuja, on August 15 and 16 by a team of pathologists led by AIG Wilson Akhiwu, indicated that the men sustained bullet injuries.

Hahahhhahahahahaahhaaha
You need an autopsy and all these people for that?

He said it to their face or in his statement and I don't think the military authority has disputed his claims.

Government officials are the kidnappers, this is why it is impossible to tackle the banditry situation rightly. Security personnels oblivious of this fact are in serious danger.

Communication can solve a lot of things.
1. If the military guys are not guilty, let them proof it in the court so as to avoid misgivings between police and Army.
2. Its painful to die in the hands of your colleagues while defending your nation.
3. Only God can comfort their families, I pray they be comforted in Jesus name.

Yes I believe the story of 7k because I have worked closely with the NPF. It doesn't mean 7k was budgeted for it, it means the money has been embezzled before getting to the end users. That's naija for you.

But that they are not guilty as charged is unfortunate. With very weak institutions, Nigeria is going no where!

And you believe the soldiers who are facing accusations of murder, etc? Think properly young man. Police personnel on official assignments as it is well known always carry their IDs.

The soldiers are trying to evade justice. It is up to the IG to ensure that there is no cover up.

The reporter reported it wrong if what you wrote up there is a verbatim quote.

Even when it is obvious that the corpse has a bullet wound, it is still important to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Dre11. Stop lying! Malami did not shield them from prosecution. The Nigerian Army has not released the soldiers to the Nigerian Police for prosecution. So if anyone is shielding the soldiers, it is the Nigerian Army! What is Malami's fault in this? You should even thank Makami for ensuring the others face trial. Since all the criminals (Soldiers, Policemen and civilians) were initially charged together, the whole trial was being delayed. In this case, the normal thing is to drop the charges against criminals that are not available for prosecution while prosecuting those available. It is the normal practice all over the world. When the Nigerian Army releases them, they will be prosecuted. The Attorney General took over the case to fast track it. The fiat to prosecute the soldiers have not been withdrawn from the Police, so the Nigerian Police on their own can prosecute then when they are available. Do you really think the Nigerian Police will leave those soldiers unpunished? Kill a policeman and Policemen will never forgive nor forget

You see were Gen. Buhari's nepotism is driving the nation to?

Whoever doubted General Buhari 97% vs 5% statement can now see that he is dead set on his "Norhernisation" of government policy.
Do you need any Jupiter to tell you it was their game plan? I always wonder if those supporting this government, always attacking people on the social media were bewitched. Same government would call boko haram herdsmen, bandits, cattle rustlers, etc. They claimed boko haram had been technically defeated yet, they keep spreading like wildfire. What they couldn't do in 4 years was done by Chadian forces led by Idris Derbi in 4 days. Believe this government at your own risk

That is the official process to establish cause of death! For example, even though you know your name, you still need an ID card to prove who you are. You also need a birth certificate to prove you were born! When we see you, don't we know you were born?

The politicians are not the major problem, we the followers are - and let me hasten to add that I say that advisedly.

Some Nigerians are protesting the killing of Floyd in the use in solidarity with Black Americans. Curiously we don't protest against cases like that in Nigeria.

Politicians all over the world are wired similarly, but the followers in developed climes will not allow their leaders to ride roughshod over them while we genuflect before our rulers without calling them out through protests.

With this nonsensical way Malami and the FG is handling the case, we ought all to be on the streets.

I do hope this your narrative reflects the true position of things.

But as an aside, what stops the Commander in Chief of Armed Forces to direct the military authorities to fast track the release of those accused military men for court trial?

Is Dre11 the Punch Newspaper who published it? Everytime this inept government is exposed, all the gullible supporters would take swipe at people who don't take sides with them in a hurry. The whole scenario suggested to many it was their game plan. The military were well informed of the policemen's mission yet they killed them. Thanks to the officers who managed to escape to recount their ordeal. In their usual shameless manner, the military would have come to the media to lie....of course they still lied without knowing there were survivors in that deliberate attack who later exposed them and they suddenly changed the story.

Wadume was the only one spared in the gun battle, handcuffed and later released, same manner they've been releasing bokoharam criminals and would later say to us that they escaped from their custody with gunshot wounds as their members stormed their barracks to release them, as if we are fools. I can't wait to see the service chiefs and some members of the APC to be charged for war crime. The world is watching
