In politics, it is all about the interests, not about 'I like this person'...or why was Akintola allied with the NPC in 1964, when in 1960 they were on opposite sides of the fence. Also, in that same election, there was the platform of UPGA, made up of Azikiwe and his followers, and the remnants of the AG...especially the bit loyal to Awo...who as we recall got into a small beef with Zik in 1952 over the control of the Western region....

Once you understand that politics is a game of aligning interests, that is when you will get why Osho baba is supporting Ize-Iyamu. (It is to be hoped that as these politicans play their game, they remember the erm people they 'want to serve')
