Nigerian politicians, very fraudulent dudes, so obaseke was not screened before he was elected ( selected) for his first tenure? Now the very man that oshomole called a thief is now the anointed conduit pipe.
1. It depends on whether he submitted the same set of documents or not cool

2. Oshiomole was not the party chairman in 2016. Perhaps, the former party chairman, Oyegun, didn't ensure diligent screening in 2016 grin

All these sentiments for Obaseki will not cut it.
if Obaseki feels cheated, he should appeal the decision but he already accepted it so you guys should stop crying more than the bereaved.

Instead of all this swearing, you should all examine his failures:
- Which Institute of Continuing Education in Nigeria awards A-levels (HSC) Certificate, for someone that has just Three (3) Credits in WASC, even without a Credit in English?
- How did he enter UniIbadan with that worthless result?
- Why was his graduation signed differently, to that of others who graduated the same year with him, if it was not Oluwole?
- Why had he not corrected the mistake in the spelling of his name, on his NYSC certificate? Even if it is ordinary Swearing of Affidavit in a Court, thatwont cost him more than #1,000 but he left it all this while and he did not even write an official letter to NYSC, to request a correction? What kind of lazy, incompetence is that?

Not to mention all his shenannigans while he was Governor!
Somebody who flouted the Party Rules, somebody who refused to innaugurate fourteen (14) Validly elected House of Assembly members but prefer to rule with a minority of ten members? Is that not the hieght of illegality and abuse of Power or those fourteen Assembly members dont deserve justice?

Obaseki is dead abd buried, if PDP adopts him and (let us assume by some impossible miracle) he wins, the court will still remove him and handover the Governorship to the pary that comes second, that is one of the things APC is trying to avoid, as they experienced it in bayelsa State election.
He is an Ingrate, a backstabber, a party saboteur and an arrogant fool, let him "Go and Die". undecided tongue grin

A person who don't knw about ur state will determine who to be ur next governor through indirect primary..party constitution should be review

Re: Edo: Why We Disqualified Obaseki, Ogiemwonyi, Iduoriyekemwen ― APC Panel by TGM2015: 5:58am On Jun 13, 2020
Obaseki has good 3 years to rectify whatsoever irregularities in his certificates after PDP took him to court, but hell no, he believe in the mentality of "I am the Governor" and "I will show **** that I am the governor of this state." Seriously, Obaseki is a fraud on the matter of his certificate, hence, in my personal opinion, the reason he did not take any step to correct what PDP accused him of.

From what the committee found:

1. He obtained Higher School Certificate from Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). ICE by the name suppose to be for post secondary education, continuing education has always been after secondary school. The Certificate Higher School Certificate was not recognised by any (educational) law in Nigeria. To make the case worse, he did not have the original certificate but attestation that he attended the school. He did not tell us that the school is no more in existence, by this, we may consider why he has not collect his original certificate or results. At least this allegation did not come to him as surprise, PDP took him to court in 2016 and some APC members took him to court early this year. Personally, I can conclude that he did not attend University of Ibadan because:
a. University of Ibadan will never accept attestation letter for admission, it is either your certificate or stamped statement of result with stamped broad sheet showing your name and grade. Forget A level results, you must present your O level results as a prerequisite for admission into 200 level.
b. No reputable and recognised educational institution will award A level certificate to a student with no credit in English and failure in Mathematics. Omission of Mathematics in Obaseki O level result means he has F9 in the subjects or he didn't sit for the subject.

2. NYSC Certificate reads OBASEK instead of OBASEKI. The governor having known about the discrepancy and with all of his educational, professional and political exposure never deemed it fit to write NYSC for correction. Why? Possibly because he can't petition on what is not existing such as the affidavit he submitted in his first attempt that was later found not to be in the records of the court. Anyway the party cannot take chances on this based on Bayelsa experience.

3. Not complying with APC constitution, especially, in the aspect of complaints/issues resolution. Obaseki agreed he never utilised and exhausted all the party laid down procedures in settling all party related issues most especially the removal of the National Chairman. He you do not believe in a party, it processes and leadership, you should not in the first place seek to represent such party and secondly, you should not expect such party to accept such an individual to represent them as a governor of a state.

“Mr Godwin Obaseki: Though, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki in his nomination form claimed to have obtained a Higher School Leaving Certificate from an Institute of Continuing Education, Benin. It was observed however that no educational certificate such as HSC is known in Nigerian educational system. Even then, the same HSC was never presented in the course of the screening exercise. The aspirant admitted that he has never collected it.

“The attestation from the Institute of Continuing Education, Benin from where the alleged HSC which was indicated in the field of attendance as obtained is of no consequence, as it only attests that Obaseki was a student of the Institute. So what we had was like an attendance. It was just attendance, it was not a result.

“Although, the Committee received a petition on his University of Ibadan Bachelor of Arts Classics certificate which he submitted to INEC in 2016 when he first contested as governor, the committee on further probing was presented with an original certificate issued by the University and the original was sighted.

“On the NYSC certificate dated 6th August 1980, the committee observed that he bears the name ‘Obasek’ Godwin. While this may be an error on the part of the issuing authority, we observed however that the aspirant has not taken any step ever to have the anomaly corrected by the issuing authority.

“In our interaction with issues raised, we concluded that HSC was defective. The NYSC certificate and the fact that the aspirant took the party to court, the above aspirant, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, therefore, is not eligible to participate in the election.

“During our interaction which was done live, he informed us that he has instituted a suit against the party and the National Chairman. Yesterday (Friday) we received all the documents of those processes and we had to rely on the party constitution because it is stated clearly that remedies should be carried through party processes. We gave an opportunity for them to give us pieces of evidence to show that this was done and nothing happened.

Why are our leaders always having issues with their certificates. When we have renowned accademic doctors nd proffessors in various fields yet we keep bring touts of questionable accademic background to be at d helm of affairs, little wonder Nigeria is in shambles because we left competent hands to give mandates to tout nd visionless leaders.as for my view in edo state power tussle,if nt for anything let obaseki win the second term to atleast make the people of edo knw that power is truely in their hands nd not one outdated godfather, but if the allow that ape to have his way then they have succeeded in making oshiomole the tinubu of edo.and they will pay dearly for it.how come oshiomole didnt find all these faults in his first tenure. And how come ize iyamu has suddenly become a saint after leaving pdp where the same oshiomole accused him of several theft

Everything the committee accused Obaseki of, Oshiomole was also guilty of during his first and Second elections but nobody disqualified him. He had issues with his name, he had Adams Aliyu Oshiomole in some credentials and Adams Aliu Oshiomole in others. He also had issues with his academic qualifications, some claimed he was just a certificateless tailor without even a primary school leaving certificate! But he was never disqualified even though his party wasn't the ruling party at the federal level. He was given an opportunity to use the instrumentality of the courts to defend and clear himself. PMB also had same issues. He had "Mohammed" in some cases and "Muhammadu" in others. There were also doubts about his academic qualifications but he was never disqualified based on these. This is what Oshiomole is denying Obaseki now, justice. It is very obvious, he is acting a preplanned agenda. The battle line has been drawn, we can only watch and see and enjoy ourselves with the movies that are about to play out and it won't be funny on the APC if they don't give equal opportunity to all aspirants , I can assure u that.

Of recent, the supreme court has really dealt with APC....there is no sense in giving opportunities to any form of litigation, especially on the genuineness of their candidates credentials.
Once bitten, twice shy....They need to block any loop hole as far as credentials litigation is concerned

Their reasons are very hollow, but this is Nigeria, a sitting governor get bullied because he didn’t follow his god father/ party leader directive.

How can Nigeria move forward as a country when the president and governor answers to people who give them directive, people who tell them what to do and what not to do, people who expect half of the allocation and internal generated revenue.

The most idiotic part is the hypocrisy of the people supporting this oligarchy and on the other hand want good governance, make you wonder what they really want.

Equal opportunity ke? Have you been following Nigerian politics at all?

. He is guilty as charged. As the times of his admission WASC and GCE were used for admission. He claimed he used HSC which was not used for admission then.HSC as at that time was awarded in a private institute where typing and shorthand, secretarial studies etc were learnt. Even if he went for the HSC programme where is his certificate. He said he had not collected it since 70s.If he used ordinary letter of attendance for his admission why has he not sat another SCE to cover up for his lack of OLevel before his graduation..His name on the NYSC was Obasek instead of Obaseki .He never took any step for correction even with affidavit. Does this show wisdom and intelligence. It is shocking if a person is taking things for granted in the name of money or position. In my opinion which I have been having since yesterday Obaseki dug the grave of his disqualification.
Perhaps you guys need to learn a little, you don't need to present a single certificate to INEC to contest election in Nigeria says your Supreme Court in Buhari's case, so I wonder where you intend to establish forgery of a document you have not seen. Secondly, until Obaseki attaches that controversial HSC certificate on his INEC form (not on party nomination form) he cannot be disqualified legally from the election because u only get disqualified from a general election for lying on oath to INEC in aid of your qualification.

But you lots didn't see the discrepancy in his certificates when he was contesting for the first time abi?
. I reliably gathered that he used affidavit in his first time.I am not an Edolite but it appears he is taking thing for granted. Same happened to Adeleke in Osun.It is better to have certificates you don't need than not having certificates that are necessary. He even said days before the screening that he would not scale through it.After the screening he said he would not appeal. What does that imply? Why can't he address the press and present his certificates? Obaseki played into the hand of APC.I hereby hold him responsible for his downfall.I wish Edo people goodluvk in their choice of governor.

If so, on what certificate did University of Ibadan admitted him in the first place

This country is in God's hands.
