A Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon. Adesina Adejumo (Motun) has described Governor Abiodun as God's sent to Ogun people who has come to rescue the people from the maladministration and misrule of past administrations in the State.

According to Adejumo (Motun), Governor Abiodun within the shortest time of one year in office has turned the fortunes of the State around for good.

Adejumo (Motun), is an Aspirant for the Chairmanship seat of Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the State under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He attributed the unprecedented development in primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education to the commitment of the Governor to restore the lost glory of education in the State.

His words, "Governor Abiodun's sincerity of purpose and sheer determination has changed the fortunes of the State for good. It is this seriousness of the government and sincerity of purpose that changed that led to the unprecedented development being witnessed by the people of Ogun State today.

"One of the most remarkable achievements of Governor Abiodun is the rehabilitation of 236 primary schools across all the wards in the State.

"Besides these numerous achievements in the education sector, all other sectors of the State have also witnessed unprecedented development.

He congratulated the Governor for achieving all these feats within a short period of one year and urged him not to relent in his effort to take the State to an enviable height.

Adejumo (Motun) lauded Governor Abiodun for embarking on people's oriented projects which according to him have direct impact on the lives of the people.

He said the Governor strategy of focusing on grassroots development is a highly commendable move, saying, "Majority of the people in the State will benefit enormously on all the projects embarked on by the Governor.

"The projects embarked on by Governor Abiodun are projects with human face and not white elephant projects embarked on by his predecessor.

"These are projects that will improve the economy of the State. Projects that both rural and urban dwellers can benefit directly from."

Adejumo (Motun) listed some of the road projects embarked on by the Governor Abiodun-led administration to include: Obantoko Road (FAJOL-American Junction-Unity Estate-Gbonagun) Phases I-III, Abeokuta, Idi Aba- Elite-Oke Lantoro, Abeokuta, Abeokuta-Sagamu Interchange, Ikola/Navy-Osi Ota Road, Raypower Road, Ota, State Hospital, Ilaro Internal Road Network, Ota Owode-Idiroko, Molipa-Fusigboye-Ojofa Street, Ijebu-Ode, Asafa Oke-Asafa Isale-Ayegun- Ojofa Street, Ijebu-Ode and Bright Fashion Baruwa Street, Sagamu, among others.

He added that the biggest road project by Governor Abiodun is the Ijebu -Ode – Epe Road, "a major link between our State and Lagos and an alternative to the busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway".

Adejumo (Motun) listed some of the achievements of the Governor in the health sector to included: the rehabilitation of two General Hospitals one in Ijaye, Abeokuta; and the other in Ilaro and On-going rehabilitation of 236 Primary Healthcare Centres across the State.

The Chairmanship Aspirant noted that the greatest achievement of the Governor Abiodun-led administration is the regular payment of workers' salaries and absorbing the 1,000 ASCON candidates employed by Senator Ibikunle Amosun at the twilight of his administration.

Speaking on his Chairmanship ambition, Adejumo (Motun) said if elected at the Chairman of the local government Chairman, he would consolidate on the achievements of Governor Abiodun and provide quality leadership of the local government.

He vowed to change the fortunes of the Local government area for good, saying his programme for the Local government is tailored towards the plans of the Governor for the State

Adejumo (Motun) who hails from the Oke-Ogun part of Abeokuta North Local government, urged the people of Abeokuta North to support his ambition by voting for him enmasse.

Oke-Ogun, according to him for almost 30 years now has not produced a Chairman of the local government, neither has it produced Commissioner or any State appointment, not to talk of Federal appointment.

Adejumo (Motun) said, "There are four communities in Abeokuta North Local Government area. They are: Owu Community, Gbagura Community, Oke-Ona Community and Oke-Ogun Community out of all these four Communities, Oke-Ogun Community has been seriously shortchanged in the past."

For these reasons, he said, Oke-Ogun is more eligible to produce the next Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State.

But he promised to break the jinx and allow for equal and quality representation if elected as the Chairman of the Local government area.
