Don't quit your job yet. Gain mastery of whatever IT skill you would learn. Learning and becoming an expert in any particular skill take time.
I understand you are a fast learner from your post. It's not about the IT skills in high demand, it's all about how good you are. Choose one IT skill as a beginner, learn and relearn, work on simple projects, join online tech communities, make good connections and work smart.
As someone has rightly opined above, you can start with the frontend aspect of Web development, Know the basics of programming. Python is a good programming language and easy to learn and understand. With python, you can choose to focus on one or more of the following:
Web development
Machine learning
Cybersecurity
Data Science
Application development
Robotics
Artificial intelligence
Game development etc.

My choice of programming language is based on personal preference, you can read more on other languages, and make your preferred choice. Nevertheless, I humbly implore you to consider the first two paragraphs in this post crucial.
I wish you a rough journey as you embark on this path.

With the ever-growing tech world, programming abilities are nowadays more valuable than ever. The most demanded ones include Python, due to its variety of uses in the web development, automation, data science, and AI. JavaScript is also indispensable, driving dynamic websites and full-stack applications on the basis of such popular frameworks as React and Node.js.

Skills in working with databases through SQL, as well as an understanding of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, adds a lot to your value on the job market. DevOps skills with the combination with programming and automation and management of infrastructure are in very high demand as well.

Furthermore, the development of mobile applications (in Swift / Kotlin or cross-platform, for example, Flutter) is active, and the development for AI and machine learning is one of the fastest-growing areas.

After all, learning to work with the very core concepts of programming and using those in work with various technologies is the secret to staying applicable and demanded in the I.T. sector.

AI usually start it statement with 'with'.

The after all and furthermore.

Proper punctuations. Notice how the statement in brackets were properly punctuated.

You'd also notice the use of big big grammar in what was supposed to be a casual conversation.

If you prompt AI enough, you'd notice the patterns.

Simple casual discussion you go dey copy and paste from AI.

For the guy that asked the question, trust me breaking into tech is not easy. My suggestion is that you go through the route of data analytics. Stay away from data science and data engineering for now. Then you need patience.

I will suggest 2 routes; web development and cloud engineering. You can actually start from web development and later transition to cloud engineering but if web development is something you end up loving, then you can stick with that but step up your game by also learning how to integrate AI into your projects
