PRESS RELEASE
The State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress met on Wednesday, the 17th of June and deliberated on issues affecting the APC in Edo State.
Among the issues discussed were the purported screening of Aspirants by the committee set up by Adams Oshiomhole and the fall out therefrom.
The State Executive Committee, having looked carefully at the Constitutional provisions of the Party and relevant sections of the Nigerian Constitution, would like to state unequivocally that the said screening Committee was illegal, self serving and laboured in vain from a concealed answer to the question. The members did not only embarrass themselves, the academia but the entire well meaning members of the APC.
Following the embarrassment meted out to the distinguished erudite Governor of the State, Gov. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki by that Committee and the prouncement by Oshiomhole to the effect that he would serve as the Supreme Court in the matter, the Governor is rumoured to have quit the Party.
The SEC, finds this decision rather unfortunate and wish the Governor and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shuaibu well.
The State Executive Committee also reviewed the ruling of the Federal Appeal Court which upheld the earlier ruling of a Federal High Court suspending Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman and member of the Party and expressed confidence in the Judiciary as the hope the democratic survival of this Nation.
SEC, reassured it's teeming members across the State, to remain steadfast and be law abiding as anyone who attempts to violate the laws, on the basis of political interest, will have him or herself to blame.

It is well with APC. The party is not organise at all. How can a party screened out a sitting governor? The party is becoming a house of comedy.

APC is trash, imagine having a quarrel with your brother then set the house you both live on fire because you are older than him.

*Obaseki was a nobody until Oshiomole took him from political oblivion and made him governor.

*Obaseki refused to swear in 14 Assembly members because they were loyal to Osgiomol e and so he feared that they were going to stand in his way of appointing a stooge as Speaker.
Whatever, he refused to swear in 14 people who were duly elected by the same Edo people he "loves" and is delivering dividends of democracy to.

*Obaseki claims that his quarrel with Oshiomole is because Oshiomole asked him to share money but he wants to use the money work for Edo people.
Let's assume that this allegation is true!
Can Obaseki swear that he has not being sharing the same Edo money to his croonies, friends and families?

*Obaseki got 7 out of 25 members of Oshiomole's ward to suspend him.
7 out of 25! In order to sack him as APC chairman.
They went to court and removed Oshiomole from office.

*Obaseki set up a panel of inquiry to indict Oshiomole of fraud in a hospital project while he was governor. Obaseki was among the council that approved that payment.

*Obaseki's deputy Philip Shaibu was nominated by Oshiomole. Shaibu is from the same LGA as Oshiomole. They were so close that Oshiomole even paid for his school fees and made him NANS President.

*Oshiomole has fought back by trying to deny Obaseki a second tenure as Governor by masterminding his rejection as the APC flag bearer.


Summary;

Anybody who thinks that Oshiomole is the devil here is a fool.
