Though I am from Edo state, I am never excited going there , it just has a cold feeling about it. Especially Benin city . Armed robbers and kidnappers at every junction. Even going to a hotel is a risk , as informants are always on the lookout for well to do visitors to setup.
This coming election will be even worse.

It's way safer in Benin than Lagos .. Trust me.

Same here we were family friends and he is not the kind of person to get involved in dirty things. He was intellectual well known Doctor. Too sad. It’s been a depressing day for all of us . How much can this family go through. Nigeria is not a safe country, not even for pensioners. People think because it’s a faceless forum they can talk anyhow about anyone. May his soul rest in peace. At least he will be united with his wife away from this wicked world.
