The touted choice of Pastor Tunde Bakare as the running mate of
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is a smart one even though it shows
some pandering to ethnic and religious sentiments. For a man like
Buhari, who has been labelled as a Sharia fundamentalist,
choosing a pastor and an activist – a relatively younger one for
that matter – as his deputy is all he needs to dispel the vicious

Nigeria has been divided into six geopolitical zones for easy sharing of the goodies especially political offices. The recent saga in the PDP tell it all. Now the ACN has come with theirs bring up 2 religious extremists. Not that religion has not always been considered in zoning but now it has become primary as against the PDP style. Now by this formula where will the senate presidency go? Yes the Tradition Religion Practitioners of course. But who will represent the Tradition Religion Practitioners? since everybody is either a christian or a moslem though all in speech and not in action.

Though the opposites attract i do not think they agree and what we need for nation building is to work in one accord.
Ribadu/Bakare would hv been a better option.
