Sometimes I gaze through life looking through the eyes of a saint and discover quite a number of things that are possibly hidden from the eyes of many people and as a result, I have discovered that he who fails to look intently at happenings in and around his or her life would only continue to solve problems: moving in cycles and circles without really living a life that is full of purpose and vitality. More often than not, I see a lot of people continuously go through life solving the same challenges and problems they had faced previously. This ought not to be because in a normal scenario, we should be learning from our experiences but when we see anyone unable to surmount that particular problem besetting them over and over again then, it is a sad contradiction. It is my opinion that if this contradiction is overlooked, it would make life very unbearable (bitter) for such persons.
The inability of people to take responsibility for their lives has made it difficult for them to forge ahead in life. People for example, would continue to give you a call me back on phone so that you can call them whenever you see it. They would never call you but has become skilled in flashing and sending call me back. These people fail to realize that they are only writing a bad history for themselves in the hearts of the people they continuously flash or send a call me back. In fact, you need to guess the number of times these people howl curses on these people who has become perpetual flashers and call me back senders. Yes, I understand that once a while, somebody can run out of credit and genuinely give you a flash or call me back. I am not talking about these types of people (it happens) but I am concerned about those whose profession has become flashing and sending call me back. These people believe that it is those they are flashing that have enough credit and should call them; they think they are the only special people in the world and therefore, should be called but they would never call others. By the way, everybody is special in his or her own way but being a specialist in flashing and sending call me back is not cool.
It is sequel to this particular belief in many people that I want to bring to you that one fact everybody needs to know to overcome the storms of life as they forge their way through life’s endeavors. It is the understanding of this particular fact that will make people become more appreciative of others because, there are a lot of persons who never appreciate anyone. You send a sum of money to them and their reply is usually, “is this the only money you can send to me.” They have never sent anything (money, clothes, etc.) to anybody but they can never appreciate anyone for sending something to them. They feel that they are the only important people in the world and as such should only be the ones receiving. Now, it is good for everybody to treat people specially because, if you treat people poorly or badly; you would also be treated poorly: for one of the laws of nature says that whatever a man sows, that he shall reap. Therefore, do good and you shall receive good. Don’t come to that point where you only expect people to sow (give) into your life when you have never sown (given) into other people.
It is a common practice to expect good to come to you but it will not come if you have not played your part and that is, doing well to others. While we recognize the fact that good can come to anybody at any point in time; it is my admonition that you go through life without looking up to men (because, they will fail you). They fail you because, they are humans; they have problems to solve themselves and also because, humanity is selfish. It becomes hard for them to solve your problems at the total neglect of their own problems. I mean, they have school fees to pay, families to feed, one business project or the other to execute, etc., and if you expect them to leave their comfort to take care of yours then, you must be mistaking or joking to say the least. I know of philanthropist and selfless individuals who could go to greater depths to help people but they can only do as much as they could afford or are capable of doing.
