Google has announced 20 African startups that will participate in the 5th cohort of Google for Startups Accelerator Africa (formerly launchpad).

Of the 20 selected, 8 are Nigerian startups while others are from Ethiopia (1), Ghana (1), Kenya (6), South Africa (2), Tunisia (1), and Zimbabwe (1).

Making the announcement in a blog post, Onajite Emerhor, Head of Google for Startups Accelerator Africa said that class 5 will be held remotely in order to adapt to the ‘new normal’.
