Razzness:
So coronavirus is gradually leaving the north. Where are those prophets of doom that said everybody in d north will die of corona?

Some were openly rejoicing. There was a comment that the mods took down some months ago. The guy said he can't wait to see how illiterate northerners will start dying like flies, and that Boko haram will become a joke in the north.

Even if they declare 4 months lockdown, it won't still solve anything. This virus has come to stay. I really wish people can view it thesame way I am viewing it. Has malaria and fever ever gone out of a country?? No. We have to learn how to live, take responsibility and manage this corona virus. It's not going anywhere soon.
Are they as contagious as covid? Lord knows if its infection was similar to that of malaria and fever, the world would have calmed down by now

We are not testing as we ought to
But then I wonder maybe even the criteria for testing, people aren't helping matters. Like people with the case definitions for covid aren't presenting themselves, maybe thinking it's something else and you know Nigerians and their disbelieve undecided

Lagos state is giving a bad impression by always being the highest number of covid19 cases in the country.People who live outside lagos now thinks every body in Lagos has the virus. If you travel out of Lagos and they know you are from here, you will be Lynch.I know sanwo olu want to justify the billions giving to him to tackle the virus. My worry is that they have not make any move by using the drugs that have been discovered to cure covid19.They love announcing unrealistic figures every night by 11.00pm
people from kogi? grin grin.

This shouldn't be strange to anybody. Most of our business transactions, especially at the rural level are still being done by Cash exchange. This medium inarguably remains one of the most potent ways of the virus transmission.
Contactless modes of payment must be encouraged.

There you go again, thinking you know about global development more than everyone.

I guess you have access to data, phone and PC and others don't. For you information, i started folowing news on coronavirus from the time some set of doctors raised the alarm in Wuhan.

And no wherr in ma comment did i say that coronavirus is not real, if people like you will not ask the government question and hold them accountable for the rusbbish happening in this country then i weep for our generation.
No one has said the government has handled this pandemic perfectly. And can you name ONE government in the whole wide world that has handled this pandemic perfectly? Is there any one thing that this government has handled perfectly that the issue of Covid-19 should be an exception? Wise ones who believe this pandemic is real here are not necessarily saying the handling of it has been excellent. But to continue to focus on the shortcomings of the government to preach recklessness is as dangerous as the pandemic itself.
Look, whether or not you like it, we all are right now at a stage where everyone must take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. The government is already aware that people no longer care. And if not that they too would be affected they simply would have thrown everything open, whatever you get you take.
When you come to a public forum to begin to stress on government's poor handling of the pandemic, you are unknowingly shifting focus aware from the danger which the pandemic poses to everyone especially the vulnerable. That is my pain; that is the pain of all sane people who are genuinely concerned.
I have said it again and again, African rulers do not need Covid-19 to empty the treasury, they can do that without Covid-19 if they want to. Mention ONE sector that is completely devoid of corruption and we can continue the debate.

.... Fine but should we now let down our guard? If we do, who suffers the consequence? That is my point. Screaming scam, corruption, audio, shifts the focus away from the reality on ground.

There are many other deadly diseases more than corona that has been in Nigeria and we have learnt to live with overtime.
Even the so called figures that NCDC are releasing should be more than that, because almost everyone has the corona now and many have recovered from it.
They should open up the country so we can go about our normal lives.

On a normal note how many deaths does Nigeria record every year? Both from flu and some other diseases?

After spreading it successfully, the people that contacted it will still unknowingly recover from it.
More like a normal disease.
The fear most of us have is because of the way the virus was overhyped by the media and WHO, most of us still have that fear in them.

I agree with you. The country has no business being locked up at this stage because of the widespread community transmission, because we have somewhat known already the mortality capacity of this virus down here. Good to learn that you agree the virus is real and here.
