The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced 661 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 19,808. 19 new deaths were recorded along with 137 recoveries; Lagos State topped the list. The 661 new cases are reported from 14 states- Lagos(230), Rivers(127), Delta(83), FCT(60), Oyo(51), Edo(31),Bayelsa(27), Kaduna(25), Plateau(13), Ondo(6), Nasarawa(3), Ekiti(2), Kano(2), Borno(1) The breakdown in the tweet of NCDC shows that the 661 cases were from 14 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 230. Rivers State followed with 127 while the Delta State had 83. 137 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 6718 from 6581. There were 19 new deaths. Find the breakdown below:

We need to decongest Lagos, that's the only way infectious diseases can be tamed in a settings like Lagos incase of future occurrence |
