The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has finally moved out of the Government House, POLITICS NIGERIA has learned.

Recall that Ajayi was temporarily blocked from leaving the state Government House on Saturday night by some police officers led by the state commissioner of Police, Salami Bolaji.

It was gathered that Agboola was trying to move out of the government house as part of preparations for his planned defection to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The politicians alongside some of his personal aides were trying to move properties out of the premises when they were accosted by the Police officers who refused to let them leave.

The police commissioner, reportedly acting on instructions from Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, directed his men to block Agboola’s convoy.

Speaking with journalists, Allen Sowore, spokesman of Agboola, said the deputy governor was taken hostage for several hours.

Meanwhile a special assistant on media to the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, Olatunde Richard claimed that the deputy governor was trying to move out properties belong to the state government.

However, Ajayi finally moved out of the government House shortly after resigning his membership of the APC and defecting to the PDP on Sunday.

It was gathered police officers attached to the government House monitored what was being taken out during the exercise.

i'm sure AKeti will make attempt to get him impeached in the coming days, but its gonna be very difficult because Agbo is well grounded at the grassroots than the governor himself and he has many loyalists in the house of assembly. i keep my fingers crossed and watch the drama as it unfolds.

He resigned his membership of APC and moved out of government.
First step he should have taken was to resign as Deputy Governor , and nobody will harass his movement
Disloyalty is the order of the day in Nigeria politics
I wish him all the best
