A 34-year-old father in Anambra Stae identified as Ifeanyi Apusiobi, on Sunday, allegedly killed his daughter and son in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.
He was also alleged to have inflicted injuries on his father before neighbours rescued the 72-year-old man.

A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Ifeanyi went berserk early in the morning and attacked his children and killed them in their sleep.

“I can’t just say what happened to him. Maybe he took something that made him to run amok. I can’t just say. It’s painful,” the resident stated.



The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

He said the incident happened around 1am.
