A 38-year-old man identified as Elom Maduka, have been remanded in a correctional facilty by a Magistrate Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, for allegedly killing his stepmother because she always appear in his dreams.

It was learnt that Elom usually complained of his stepmother, Augustina Odio, appearing in his dreams and telling him she was responsible for his misfortune. while on a particular day, Elom trailed his stepmother to her farm where he allegedly landed severe machete cuts to her head and legs leaving her dead. This happened at Amohu village, in Ezillo community of the Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi state.
