If these PDP aspirants are wise, they'll relax and join forces with Obaseki to win Edo state from APC. Obaseki will serve his remaining 4yrs and by 2024, it'll be a smooth ride for PDP.

As it is now, PDP needs Obaseki's clouts to snatch Edo state from APC. Without Obaseki in the race for PDP, APC will have field day in rigging the election should Obaseki decide to play neutral.

PDP is not petitioning based on whether he restrained Obaseki or not but on the fact that the court does not have jurisdiction to entertain the matter in the first place, based on which the judge would have returned it to the chief judge of the federal high court for it to be reassigned to either the federal high court Abuja or Benin which have jurisdiction to hear the matter. The matter will either struck out or reassigned on Thursday on grounds of jurisdiction. This is despite the fact he did not restrain Obaseki from contesting.

If there was no restraining order, why go to secure an injunction from an expoma court? Please go back and read up the prayers of the plaintiff and what the court granted and stop misleading NLs.

The Federal High Court granted an order for substituted service of the court processes on the defendants through a national daily newspaper, it did not grant an order restraining Obaseki from the primaries. That the order had prayers of the applicant which is purely procedural, does not mean it was granted, rather what is granted is what specifically ordered by the court and that is for substituted service and the matter was adjourned for Thursday.
Now, Because the Federal High Court did not grant the order to restrain Obaseki from the primary election, Obaseki camp took a step ahead of their adversary to get a specific order from the Edo State High Court Ekpoma Division which has the same concurrent jurisdiction as the Federal High Court, restraining anybody that would have restrained him from participating in the primary. One step ahead.
