Cristiano Ronaldo is planning MLS switch
after leaving Juventus, reveals Nani

Cristiano Ronaldo expects to end his playing career in
America, his former Manchester United teammate Nani has
revealed.
The 35-year-old is showing few signs of ever leaving his
prime at current club Juventus, where he has scored 53
goals in 76 games since arriving from Real Madrid in 2018.
The Portuguese legend remains under contract in Turin until
2022 and Nani believes he will then make the move to MLS.
Nani is already playing in America, having joined Orlando City
from Sporting last year, and he has a lot of praise for the
league, where he would love to see his compatriot end up.
‘A couple of years ago, he told me that he will probably end
up in America,’ Nani told ESPN . ‘It’s not 100% but probably.
There is a chance.
‘It is a great league. Obviously there are points where we
must improve as a league, even in the quality of the players.
‘Here you have fantastic clubs, well organised with fantastic
conditions, great coaches, great players. You see every
season improving,” he said.
‘I think we all have the conditions in this league. We are in a
great country. Everything is around us. It is all about being
better, not being afraid to improve
David Beckham’s new MLS franchise, Inter Miami, could be
the natural move for Ronaldo and the Englishman has been
asked about potentially signing CR7 in the past.
‘We really believe in the roster we have, the players that we
have we’re really happy with,’ Beckham said in February.
‘But we have also talked about if we have the opportunity to
bring in big name players from Europe into our city, we will
do that.
‘Every team in the world would want Messi and Ronaldo in
their teams, but we always talked about us being different
from any other team, which I am sure every other owner says
exactly the same thing.
‘So that’s what we will try to do and if we have the
opportunity to bring big name players in then great — we’re
lucky we have an ownership group that has that vision and
wants to succeed and has that competitiveness where we
want the best players.’
