The worst human being is that person who readily finds another person, object, idea, religion or anything around them as the cause of their failure. They can never engage in the critical thinking of examining themselves to know what the problem is with their lives and what solutions to apply. As long as they can lazily explain away their failures without doing anything about them they feel fulfilled and triumphant. It does not matter if they can still see themselves entangled in the mess which they have created for themselves. Their efforts are always focused on excuses and pretense. They never add value to their lives. They live in a world of illusion and deceit. Deep down inside themselves they know they are the architect of their own misfortune but they will never take responsibility. Consequently it is all motion and no movement in their entire lives.

The southern political elite perfectly fit into the scenario above. With their recent move to sue Buhari they are only diverting attention from their sponsors. What have southern leaders done about their following political office holders:
. Governors
. State House of Assembly members
. Commissioners
. Local Government Chairpersons
. Councilors
. Senators
. House of Representatives Members.
. Ministers.

Rather than hold these people to account first they are engaging in exercise in futility. Putting all the blame on Buhari while they fail to put their house in order is nothing but hypocrisy and living in denial. Buhari can never be an issue the moment the southern political leaders first do their housekeeping well.

1. There is so much more this APC government needs to do. Most of the criticism of Aso rock is in order.

2. Having said that, OP is right. Most governors, LGA chairmen and so on are failing at their duties.

The other day, someone blamed GEJ for lack of potable water in otuoeke. When otuoeke has a lga chairman, a state representative, a federal representative , a senator and let's not forget the commissioner of water for Bayelsa state. What have they done?

Democracy is hard work

Take a look at town planning for instance. I grew up at Idimangoro in Agege Local Government Area. The neighborhood was well planned with streets having drainage. Initially flooding was wrecking havock but was later stopped by the construction of "Guinness canal" where all the flood water was channelled to. The canal was constructed by Raji Rasaki administration. There was minimal pulling down of houses when the canal was being constructed because the area was well planned already.
When I see new sites these days without provision for drainage I ask myself how the ministry of town planning could have allowed such development to take place. The houses are nucleated after the pattern of a typical African village. This is irresponsibility on the part of the state government. Years later buildings will be marked for demolition because of the need to control flooding.
