Half of the Driver and Vehicle staff adored the automobile fragrances from this business, and the other half did not simply turn up their noses at those same scents, they demanded that they are removed from the test vehicles.

That proved to us that automobile air fresheners are much like cologne or perfume: One individual's heavenly aroma is another person's stink fest. The scents people enjoy are so thoroughly private that it's virtually impossible to come to some type of consensus concerning which scents will delight the senses and that will offend. So, with this particular subject, we have gone the crowdsourcing route in the expectation of finding a good selection of in-car scents.

How We Chose These Car Fragrances

It is complex. We picked those car scents and air fresheners based on several aspects, including their average Amazon review rating, the amount of positive Amazon reviews, and recommendations from trusted automotive-detailing websites. As mentioned earlier, we have firsthand--or is that first-nose? --experience with fragrances from manufacturer Gent Scents, which started us with this olfactory journey.
