Meanwhile, findings have shown that the remains of Ajimobi will not be buried at the Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque, Oke Ado, Ibadan, contrary to earlier reports. The Oyo State Coordinator, National Council of Muslim Youth, Daud Afolabi; and the Chairman, Management Committee, Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque, Alhaji Abidemi Siyanbade, made this known in separate interviews with our correspondent. Afolabi said, “As you can see, no place was marked within the premises of the mosque for graves. The body of the former governor will be laid to rest in one of his houses or anywhere the family decides; and not in the mosque. “I can only tell you that we would pray for him in the mosque. He contributed a lot to the development of Islam and we want to honour him. He died while he was sick and as Muslims, we believe that he has a rest already before Allah.” Corroborating this view, Shiyanbade said, “Ajimobi will not be buried on the premises of the mosque but a short prayer will take place there. “His corpse will not be brought to the mosque because it is against Islamic injunction to do so. They should bury the useless criminal... People would start quoting me but trust me I don't give a damn, our hypocrisy in this country is too much, when he was alive he stole and we condemned him but as soon as he dies WE DONT TALK ILL OF THE DEAD talk oozes everywhere. |

They should bury this man for God's sake, he died as a Muslim, Muslim don't waste time in burying their death, he should be taken to one of the Muslims cemetery and stop this hullabaloo of where they will bury him... It is good for the clarification, I was shocked when they said he will be buried in a mosque this is totally against Islamic injuction.. |
