This is one of the reasons I believe Coronavirus is not leaving this country anytime soon. Poverty wont allow it. But the good news is that, the rich ones are more at the receiving end. 1 Like |

Myer: You're right... Even when there wasn't anything like covid.... All parties/ events must hold with tight security hence, your uninvited guests will be more than the invited ones... Even then, some will still dress gorgeously enough to enter... Kill 100 cows, it won't be enough!.. The hunger in the land had been around but has become too pronounced at this time.. .. Hmmmm Any opportunity to chop, abeg all and sundry will find their way... You'll be surprised to know the distance many come from to get their share of party jollof... Nothing wrong with the present government to provide enough security but party differences won't make it happen.. God help us 2 Likes |

The video is a fraud, and absolutely lies from the pit of hell. Ajimobi was buried in his Oluyole Estate private residence with less than 20 people witnessed the internment of the late former governor. 1 Like |

Oyindaberry: The problem is, we have too many naive and gullible ignoramus on Nairaland. Many of them can't even differentiate their left from right hand. To the hungry everything is food; likewise this set simpletons, every lies is a news, just for them to display their inability to read in-between the lines. That video is a political rally during last governorship electioneering campaign. Come to think of it, does that atmosphere in anyway look like a burial environment? You guys better go and edit those nonsense you ignorantly posted so as preserve the little sensibility you may have left in your miserable thinking faculty. 1 Like |

Even in death more people will be put down hard by his funeral and we say we should praise these political feudal overlords who have done absolutely nothing for the peons to prevent scenes like we see from happening. Wouldn't it have been a better legacy to have the citizens bring the little they have to honour and celebrate your life and passing, even if it is bouquet of flowers out of the much you have put in their hands, the much you have blessed and empowerd them with. Instead this show of deadly shame. When it is time to award contracts for roads and bridges they give them to multi-nationals who are prosperous enough. When it is time to build schools and hospitals they give such jobs to political fat cats. Well we cannot see Mr. Folly Malfeasance from 'Julius Berger' or Double Chief Chop and Die from Failed State Enterprises and Sons scrambling for funeral food. They have cleaned out and don't give a hoot about anyone's legacy. But the folks who should have been enrolled, enlightened, empowered and enriched by mass employment public works programmes and projects will surely remember the misiadventures of their so called leaders as they pay their last respects not to the fallen but to the hunger they have been endowed with. In normal societies you will be enamoured by the sweet smell of a sea of flowers and the silence of respect and true bereavement. Here you will be assaulted by the stench of sweaty combatants and the squeals of a depraved people fighting for the crumbs of poverty.... sad. |
