N-Power is a President Muhammdu Buhari administration initiative; a Government Empowerment Scheme aimed at solving the challenge of the unemployed youth. It was implemented to curb the high unemployment among youths in the nation where one can earn and at the same time acquire employability skills and knowledge an important tool for socio-economic growth.





Npower cuts across all cadres of the unemployed, ranging from the secondary school leavers to graduates. The motive behind setting up Npower was to groom the unemployed youth which led to it been divided into four categories; Nteach, Nhealth , Ntax and Nagro. The multifaceted nature of Npower has impacted, imparted and cut across all sectors of the economy from health, teach, Agriculture etc. This initiative for the past four years has empowered a total of 500,000 youths, a feat unimaginable.

Based on its role and ripple effect in empowering the youth, the government on June 26th, 2020 open the portal for 2020 applicants. With this, 2016 Npower batch exits by ending of June 2020. With the excitement and the good news that Npower registration 2020 is open, though registration started 11:45 pm of 26th of June, 2020. There’s been a series of complaints as seen on Npower official site, the commonest been applicants not receiving mails at the end of the registration. In this article, the following are the reasons why applicant aren’t getting mails;

1) Using the wrong email might be why most applicants aren’t getting email. A misspelt word or a change in the case of a letter while typing could be a possible reason. Applicants are advice the vet and review before submitting.

2) it can also be from the Npower portal, since most applicants are having the same complaint. The website from recent observation isn’t responsive or still under maintenance. One will say there’s a feature (plugin) needed to aid in sending of emails at the end of every registration. Though the site is getting better day by day and response gotten from the Npower official handle “reads that issues lodge are treated and immediately resolve to aid in a smooth registration of applicants.
