A man identified as Lateef Ahmed, has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command after allegedly killing his friend, Ishola, with a "magic ring" during a football match.

Lateef had hit the deceased with the alleged magic ring, following a dispute which occurred during a football match at St Mary's Grammar School football field in Iwo community, Osun state.

It was gathered that Ishola lost consciousness and collapsed after being hit with the alleged ring.

Efforts to revive Ishola proved abortive as he was confirmed dead after being rushed to the General Hospital in Iwo.
